    PTS PvP Testing - Thursdays @ 5pm PDT - Monterey Capture and Hold

    Hey everyone,

    Starting this week, PvP testing will return to 5pm pacific on Thursdays! We will be focusing on the new map as well as another round of balance changes. Like before, these changes will be on PTS only for a while until we get them into a good place. Hop on PTS, test out the new changes, and post your feedback here.


    The following changes will be going to PTS with the next update.

    Monterey CnH:
    - Will have 1-5 capture points depending on match population
    - Each point will have a few different locations
    - ATVs can be summoned by players
    - 2 Cerberus located on the map
    - Capture Point spawns are attached to current location of the point
    - Default spawn point is random


    Balance Changes (Active in PvP Only):
    - Increased per plate damage reduction
    - Reduced PvP crit bonus multiplier
    - Greatly increased spread while jumping (aim/hip-fire)
    - Reduced damage multiplier for electric damage vs health (now matches fire vs shield multiplier)
    - Increased max player health
    - Increased Grenade damage
    - Increased melee damage
    - Reduced healing from BMGs

    Vehicle Changes:
    - Cerberus now have 3 armor plates in PvP
    - ATVs have 1 armor plate in PvP
    - Cerberus turret damage has been signficantly increased
    - Cerberus passenger rocket damage has been increased slightly
    - Cerberus shield capacity has been increased

    People say that Shock is vastly Superior to other Nanos. That's simply not true. Its all quite balanced other then Nanoless being a bust.

    There's so many bonuses that activate do to shield break that breaking someones shield and not following up to finish them off with a head shot for majorty of guns just gives the target time with the upper hand do to bonuses gained. Body shots from electric do nothing so you need headshots more then anything.

    This is why Fire nano is also good. Sure, body shots wont do anything to shields but headshots with Fire will knock down shields quick do to increased crit multiplier and then is capable of being able to finish the target off with body shots.

    At least with Fire all you need is starter headshot/s to knock shields down then can hit up the moving target's body.

    While Shock you need head shots to start and finish or else you let your target off the hook fighting you while boosted with bonuses.

    Changes sound abit better

    Seems syphon has been left behind alittle bit taking a hit from reduced crit and and increased health.

    Well it looks like electric is useless again, my electric FoP BR had one job, now Rad is everything again!

    Will Swords be affected by the melee buff? Also, what is the new Base Health at 6000 EGO in PvP?

    Swords do gain melee increase.

    I am intentionally leaving exact values out of my posts. I would prefer people get onto PTS and try out the changes. The current values are only the first round and numbers have a distinct way of skewing perception. I will be adjusting them based on your feedback and the data we collect from the tests.
