When it comes to modding weapons, there are certain mods that, when put together, form a synergy group. Example: there is a shotgun synergy group called "Run 'N' Gun" when you have a mod in each slot of the shotgun, and each of those mods is part of the same synergy group, you will get additional weapon perks. So like faster reloading and things like that.
Mods synergy has nothing to do with your starting background story. Just like scrawnypaleman said rare mobs will have synergy stats on them, the more piece you equipt, the more extra stats you will get. Usually the minimum synergy active requiement is 2 pieces.Originally Posted by cheapinjustice
