What happened to them? They were in the alpha and PC Beta, then they were gone with no explanation.
I thought they really helped with exploration. I don't feel the need to search out building or random places because I know nothing is waiting for me.
Kinda bummed. Anyone know why?

I was thinking the same thing. This game has a very similar feel as borderlands, but part of what makes borderlands great is that you are always looting chests and finding stuff by searching. I am a loot ***** and want to find more!

Haha that's why I'm askin. It was in the beta a few months ago. They were mostly for scrap and money, but they still encouraged exploration of this huge environment. Such an odd thing?

Chests would be fun. And there will be no fun here.
Same here, there's absolutely no reason for me to explore so I don't. I would really like some chests to loot even if they just give money and salvage.
Agreed. I would be happy with money only chests. Give me somewhere to go that isn't part of a quest.
