Don't forget there are pursuits that require a lot of kills during major arkfalls. Im focusing at the primary objective myself, but killing few mobs in the meantime does not make difference.
Excellent thread. People driving around in circles during an Arkfall really pisses me off, it causes a bit of lag.
well you gotta think too, at 1 point we all were noobs at this game, most are truly trying to figure what works best, then you have some that are total *****, and believe it or not some of those players arent noobs on there, some are quite experienced, so its kinds damned if you do and damned if you dont lol...i personally dont believe vehicles should be allowed at/near arkfalls, just to get rid of the " oh let me run over the skitterlings even though they help contribute to the crystals destruction " mentality...i enjoy helping noobs on this game, show em the ropes, show em what not to do at arkfalls, help em with their side missions, makes me feel like a better player...word of advise smes, dont kill the little 1s if you have to destroy the crystal ok, they bite the crystal and open up weak spots lol...this is a very helpful thread, and i was gonna post something like this but im glad someone did it already lol

I was at a Arkfall, by myself, for about 12 minutes until someone finally came around, and for that time all i could do was kill all those bugs...but finally after finishing the whole thing, I ended up being first place with 99 kills and way less in damage compared to the top 10 xD

i don't think this was supposed to a straight out attack on noobs or anything. Plus, people going on with "wow, already a pro and the game just got released," need to rememver, this is a MMO. The setting may be different, but there are common basics that all MMO's share. It isn't hard to figure things out. Specially when you have some holographic chick telling you that the skitterlings are being helpful. But yeah, this is more along the lines of FYI. It's good FYI, too. some good tips. Can you be in the top ten by just shooting everything? yep. you can also get there by focusing on the crystals and only shooting the bad guys when you need to. People are getting better. I was in an arkfall last night. some issue at first with people going heavy on the skitterlings, but someone chatted out to ignore them, only posted it once, and then everyone was focused on the crystal. Same when we got to the end. Not everyone seemed to know that you need to target the monarchs, someone shouted it out, next thing you know, we took out the sym in about ten minutes. one of the fastest times i have seen for the final fight. and yes, the ten minutes was just on the last fight. it took us a bit to get to the final fight.

yeah i think people need to do that more in game, lets the new guys know what to do and what not to do lol
