I kill a lot, I do a lot of crits, I learned in Alpha and Beta how to level weapons, KEQ also has had 7% bonus since launch... Heck not sure, but I have AR to 20, and 5 others above 6, working shotguns to 6, then will work infectors to 20... Want to have fun? Get a group of clan mates all doing Angle Island with infectors...
However, there is no reset at all... now there was a process back in the December timeframe, which is no longer, just wondering and yes I might want to get another random stat on some of the Legendary weapons which I have collected.
There was a bug that made it so that when you reached 20, no other weapons of that class could earn their personal exp any more. Can you verify that this was fixed?
Thus, are you able to earn exp on other Assault Rifles now that your skill in AR is 20?
(It's important because I wouldn't want to hit 20 otherwise, since if I found a better Assault Rifle I'd want to level it up to get its random bonus when its weapon exp capped out)
Is english not your native language? It resets the gun not your player skill of the ar.
Read this again, like 80 times till it makes sense. FYI, guns still gain exp, even if your skill is capped.
"that means you wouldn't reset your level 20 ar skill, but the AR stat that specific gun gained its self."
to avoid any further confusion. Say you have an ar that you used and leveled IT not your character gun skill, and it gained 5% damage from above, and you didn't want that, you could reset it.
Is it not yours? what I said was pretty clear. But since you failed to understand twice now, maybe third time is the charm.
There are two experience bars. One for your weapon and one for your weapon skill. Your weapon only has one level, your skill has 20. The OP said that once you hit 20, you can reset your weapon so it can gain experience again. THIS IS REDUNDANT BECAUSE YOU DO NOT NEED THE EXPERIENCE FOR YOUR SKILL AT THAT POINT. Once you hit the cap on your individual weapon, you do not gain any more experience towards your actual skill level unless you equip a new gun of the same type. Do you understand yet? or do I need to type it more slowly?

He is talking about the weapon. You don't need the exp for your character, but to GET A DIFFERENT STAT on the gun.
Let me explain one last time. The first bar you are talking about, your weapon that has one level. When that is attained, it gains a bonus stat. You are supposed to be able to reset that and try for a different BONUS STAT. This means you don't have to farm another weapon when it levels, if the bonus it gains for the weapon levelup isn't what you wanted. That is what he is asking about, that is what this thread is about. You are missing the point of the entire thread.
You even quoted this part I said, without reading it. "to avoid any further confusion. Say you have an ar that you used and leveled IT not your character gun skill, and it gained 5% damage from above, and you didn't want that, you could reset it."
*highfive* to you for flaming me when you are incorrect.
Edit: just to make it painstakingly clear. The reset we are speaking of, resets the weapon's bonus stat gained for maxing that weapons exp bar (note, not the one your character has).
