Im pretty boring so I dont change this up very much..

    http://defiance-central.com/ego-calc...-96c-&start=18

I use the perks that are maxed for PvE and occasionally I will replace something(s) with the +45% speed perks. I almost always have a BMG as a secondary so I can take cover real quick heal myself and get back in the fight.

As for my shield its Respark with as low a delay as possible and for my nade a Flash Nade with high duration and radius.

I dont know if its any good to others but it works great for me.

EDIT: I just noticed how old this thread is....

That is a hard question to answer, most people have different playing styles. I would suggest start with weapons first, see what weapon is the most effective for you, then an ego power that you understand how to use more, and lastly your shield and grenades. I would say for shields though, shorter recharge/less damage rating for run and gun players, longer recharge/higher damage rating for those who don't mind tanking a little bit.
I cannot believe I didn't notice I misspelled Vicious LOL. Looks like it should be pronounced "Ficus Blood" now. Imma tree killa yo!

I've used cloak builds since the closed alpha, I find they're best to engage&disengage to/from combat and if you need a Dmg boost just drop a spike. I'd use a primary (lmg, rifle, launcher) with a secondary like a shotgun or smg. I use a ranged & close range weapon, pop cloak sneak in close use your close range, re-cloak disengage get to range and finish it off or vise versa. Range, cloak get close and finish with your high dmg short range. It's the best system for quick fights and survival I've found.

Sounds like you should be using Overcharge.

When I was leveling I used Assassin's Cache, Gunslinger, Execution, and Regeneration around that level as my go-to perks. Then I used an SMG (FRC Sub-Carbine or VOT Pulser) to just run around and critical kill everything. I kept a fire nano for enemies without shields, and a rad nano weapon for enemies with shields (so I would not have to switch out).

Only time I ever had an issue is when stuff scaled up to a higher threat level. When that happened, I switched out to a charge weapon (volge lightning rifle, particle rifle, various shotguns) so I could charge up behind cover, then take a quit pot shot at the enemy before ducking back behind cover. Let me deal damage without depleting my entire ammo reserve on on a single enemy.

Key thing in any event is movement. The AI does not respond well to it, and it is especially important against explosive enemies (throws grenades, shoots rockets, etc). Never, ever stand still. Use cover. Run and single out enemies if there are too many. Just stay moving. The more you move, the more likely you are to survive.

I found the following perks gave me a dramatic boost in overall survival, regardless of the rest of the ability/perk build:

Thick Skinned : 4 plates of ablative armor for 3 sec after your shield breaks will literally get you out of that shtako alive.
Detachment : 3 plates of ablative armor for 3 sec on a kill. Any kill. So this will be up practically all the time.
Execution : Crit-kills restore 15% shield. Great for crit-a-lot weapons, so pick it wisely.

Fortitude (+15% health) and Cellular Armor (6% less damage taken) can also be useful, and you can also stack Hunker Down (9% less damage taken) on top of them, but I was never sure about return on investment on those so I generally pass on them.

You are limited to one damage mitigation per source from Shield, Weapon, and Perks. This means things like Cellular Armor and Hunker Down no longer stack. It will pick the higher of the two in the given situation and grant you that amount. You do have the right idea for Survival when you mention Cellular Armor, Detachment, and Execution. The only thing you left out was Regeneration. Make sure you use a Rhino or Ironclad and shoot for the head. In addition, I use Ablative Armor Stims when odds are stacked too high against me.

Cloak (with associated cool down perks), Thick Skinned, and regeneration are helpful.
