hotshot: reservoir chickens impossible or extreme luck!!

This is the saddest side quest I have ever played in any game ever. Who thought this up? Somebody needs to be drug tested because this is ridiculous. I don't understand how somebody didn't quality control this quest into a garbage bin, besides the fact that all the chicken thieves are of a certain ethnicity, why the hell am I shooting chickens in the first place? Did they run on empty when it game to intelligent side quest design, release date is sneaking up so jam in a chicken shooting mission? Am I the only person who feels like this mission is terribly designed? Is this somehow related to the show? Will Nolan be shooting chickens on a rooftop with 3 guys running in circles bagging chickens to stop him from saving Irisa from a monstrous chicken boss? Wasting my time with this inane mindless mission. Honestly I would completely avoid nonsense content like this mission, but I can't finish the entire Madera pursuit unless I waste my life on this poorly thought out chicken shooting mission.

Moonshine shack is not that bad, besides the hotshot challenges are supposed to be challenging and not free xp for getting gold the first time. As to the bugginess of the game: I have nothing to say other than "It needs to be fixed ASAP".

I tried to be safe and do Moonshine Shack strategically. Got nowhere close.

Then I started to blitz Moonshine Shack and got in on the second attempt. Basically kill them as fast as possible. You don't want to lose the multiplier. Also go with a shield that has a quick recharge.

Respark shields would be the best.

Dr.Chiz is a smart man I did the exact same thing except i save my last bullet for when the big group of chickens rush out n start running once i expel my last bullet i quickly drop my grenade and get all sorts of nice bonus points. Colonel Sanders would be proud!

This mission is not impossible. Getting the gold is actually pretty simple. After the easy beginning the farmers start to pick up the chickens they pass, and the mission spawns chickens 1-2 beams in front of one of the farmers, knowing this, you can just aim where the chickens will spawn and shoot when they do spawn. The biggest problem you can run into is shooting too slow and hitting a farmer, thus restarting your multiplier. This got me the gold medal after only a few tries.

after 2 shoot of both 1 hours i found a few trick that realy make my day.

1. you can fail 2-3 time but only at start. as soon you hit combo 15 and you miss.. jump over and restart
2. they is one chicken that alway spawn on the ground alone. KEEP it alive and use it only if it been a while for keeping combo.
3. THIS IS NOT A RACE. NO TIME WHAT SO EVER.
4. the only END is when you don't have any ammo in your gun. take time. and only shoot what your sure to get.
5. don't shoot the guy,,, they reset combo AND lose 3 point
6. again it not a race. on mine i time the combo time and was nearly using it to the end. 1-2 bird in each 5 sec. long but i achive a realy hight score
7. also when they are running on ground. i have a very tought time to get some.

here my advice. take them... leave them... here they are !

I also figured this simple rules after about 5th try, then after another 5 rounds with some stupid mistakes (like shooting the farmer...) I've managed to get gold without exploiting any glitch. I'm very satisfied about beating this challeng and proud of myself and really don't care about others who made that high scores exploiting -.-

The exploit was fixed, at least to my knowledge (I'm almost willing to try it to be perfectly honest). In my opinion it should go as follows:

Bronze: Your average beginner should be able to obtain this score with some practice.

Silver: Your average veteran should be able to obtain this score with some practice.

Gold: Your elite players should be able to obtain this score with some practice.

This however is not the case. I have been told by several of my friends that the ONLY way they were able to get Silver (or above) was to use the exploit. Personally, I have played shooters for quite some time as well, but personally I don't care how you put it or what it's supposed to be, it shouldn't t take anyone that has progressed through this game with relative ease well over 30-40 tries and I've yet to get Silver for the progression.

I understand the argument that it's not supposed to be easy, and I wouldn't expect it to be. But to be so difficult that the only people I know that have done it have cheated, aside from a select few. They obviously don't care if you cheated, or the top 3 people would have been punished already (on 360 anyway, because your kidding yourself if you think you got 80k legit).

This should be looked into by someone that can suggest a change. The hit box on the chickens is almost as bad as the head shot hit box in the game (when sniping), and I do pretty well with a sniper rifle in this game. Which, by the way, doesn't make sense that I can take down an entire group of enemies with my bolt action but can't hit enough chickens to keep my multiplier high enough to even get Silver?

why do people keep crying over these things there challenges for a reason, maby trion should make a super easy pillow mode for all the whiners that want everything handed to them
