You NEED to fix the chat for multiple reasons

1. The chat has to be fixed so people know they are being communicated with and so others can request help when needed.
2. We need the chat fixed so we know when a system alert happens and the game doesn't just drop connection because of an unknown maintenance
3. Most the people I talk to have issues seeing if someone is trying to ask them a question
4. Without communication you pretty much kill the Multilayer in MMO and most people are forced to solo the whole game.
I know I am not the only one who sees this and this is seriously something that needs to be fixed really soon.

I have to agree. It's somewhat of a hassle to try to type things on the consoles. And the chat window is pretty small, and messages disappear too fast. The last message should always be displayed, and server wide announcements should flash at the top of the screen, so they're more noticeable. But these are just our preferences, the chat is still relatively functional as it stands now.

They have more than a few issues to fix before they even think about chat problems. Chat is low priority compared to disconnects, bugged quests and items, lag, etc...

I think chat priorty should be right up there next to crashes and mission bugs. Without a better chat then we got now, there literally is no point in playing. I have yet to have a conversation with a single person. There is many many instances where we need to talk to other people but at this point, no one bothers to even try becuase they know no one watches chat, and this is absolutely killing any social/group content. Right now way chat is, its simply a single player game with high scores on some of the mission types. That's it, single player.

And it is very hard to spam stupid selling-trading messages to everyone since the chat only displays to people in the same area. -0

yeah me to i still have to talk to someone in this game. There is absolutely zero communication if u dont already have friends ingame. Its always the the issues with cross platform games, Consoles realy lack social interaction.

You are correct. I think a comprehensive chat system actually comes ahead of the rest. If I can't chat with friends or team build, I can't play, and if I can't play then the rest becomes NON-issues for me.
