The Ironidity of Trionic-Illogic
Well this post was originally going to be called “Don’t piss on my leg and tell me it’s raining” Referring to the blatant destruction of our beloved Piper shields. But I think that this subject has been fairly well covered… once you’re aware of the fact that the shield had been in the game sense the beginning and not only that but was actually originally capable of being upgraded to OJ back when you could originally take a white weapon and upgrade it all the way to OJ… but that was before my time. Regardless I think Trion has to realize that there is a legitimate reason for a number of players such as myself to be seriously upset about this ‘nerf’… which is a term I use loosely because nerfing is suppose to make things safer and easier but loosing 10k in damage capacity doesn’t see to be helping anyone out or making the game easier in any way. Of course the PVP players will be happy but I am interested in seeing what happens to PVP now that it is no longer required. In an Ironic turn of events I predict the emptiest and most balanced pvp defiance has ever seen. Being as a number of players I know would never have touched pvp except to reach max ego (or help others to reach max ego) but now that it’s no longer a requirement... good riddance to bad rubbish as they say.
So lets see where to start… I’ve been playing for 2 years now as of this past Courtship Colony event. Not one of the "Dare Devils" but I’ve been around long enough to see this game go through some drastic changes and as one forum member so eloquently posted “I’ve scratched a hole through my skull trying to understand these updates”. Not gonna list all of them but lets see some key ones I’ve noted are … Warmaster not working properly… they crystals are gone from the center of the arena if anyone remembers those still, and the WM’s lasers don’t work anymore either and then of course there’s the glitching into the wall that happens every other round so you can’t shoot him for the entire time he’s hanging. There was the change from multi rolls on weapons to the new MKII series that we all love so much of course. Hellbug Basin, oh how I long for the original to return… the new one is just absurd. I would have loved to play at the time when you could upgrade a weapon all the way from white to oj with the chance at multi rolls of the same type… some kick *** weapon possibilities to be sure. There's the constant disappearance of the destruction arkfalls… and of course I have too mention the two most historic changes ever… Zagger, Zagger, Zagger and Because Gernades.
What got my goat was the constant complaining on the forums but then of course that just shows that the players care about the game right? Or some shtako like that I believe is what I was singled out and made and example of for… Well guess what I’ve switched over… I have gone from being a supportive involved member of the wonderful gaming community to the majority that has finally had enough. The only thing left for myself and many players I know is waiting to see what will get screwed up next in this game… just so we have something else/new to complain about. I mean if nothing else we have a wonderful community until the day the servers die. Some of our friendships will survive and move on to another game but until then we will have the Ironidity of Trionic-Illogic to bond us all together the ever more.
Ark Hunters I salute you and count myself blessed by whatever god there is to be one of you… even in a universe that make no sense! Because what sense can be found in a universe where they make life easier by removing progression requirements and then make it harder at the same time by removing a universal piece of superior equipement… The Gods of Defiance could have just left things the way they were and everything would still be right with the world.
