Nim Shondu - The hardest boss i've ever faced.

Holy ****. Over 11,000 total thread views. O_O

Going to re-write this thread as it's sending off a bad signal.

    SUGGESTED NERF:
Allow Co-op help with this boss and scale it to tune. This allows friends to help those who need help and balances the boss. Balancing shields is a big part, and those who use Respark shields are at an advantage to those with Rhinos. Adding co-op ability to this boss will make the game more balanced because now everyone would be playing a supportive role. Gear setup (Guns, grenades) and build is less of a disadvantage as you may be supporting the fight while a friend is healing.Ego abilities, an example being cloak and decoy help more than overcharge and blur. Sawed off shotguns are less useful due to his sword, snipers are less useful due to a close environment. With a new co-op ability this will balance the ego powers slightly and be a great counter to help shields. I've read every reply and feel this would be an efficient nerf.

    Additional nerfs if possible.
    • Make the boss be one scaling in difficulty to the amount of players
    • Make the boss' hits affect everyone in the game. Fireballs launched at all players.

At the moment until this nerf is read and acknowledged, hopefully integrated here is what I recommend and don't recommend.

Very bad setup for solo play
    • Rhino Shield (Around 1700 capacity, 9.6 delay)
    • Sawed off shotgun (Useless when he has a sword)
    • Any gun with a scope forcing ADS[Aim down sight] (Useless in close quarters)
    • Ego ability: Overcharge

    Now that I've read alot of replies and comments;
Recommended setup for those attempting Nim:
    • Respark Shield. (Around 1,050 capacity, 40%+ recharge, 3 delay)
    • Regular shotgun, either pump or combat. Don't use a sawed off.
    • BMG to heal yourself. This makes it alot harder to die.
    • Infector, or any gun with AOE or homing. Helps when running and gunning.
    • Ego Power: Cloak or Decoy will help out alot.

I died 14 times the first time I attempted nim, using the class I now labelled as 'bad setup'. I reattempted nim, and on my second try did not die 1 single time using the recommended setup.

    1st phase - 4 deaths
    2nd phase - 6 deaths
    3rd phase - 3 deaths

By deaths, that is referring to extractions. Not self revives. Would be x2 the number of self revives. I would just like to point out and there are [countless] others who do agree with me in saying this boss is one of the hardest, and very disappointing bosses also. There is little to no skill involved with the boss honestly. It's a rinse and repeat cycle and once you nail down what to do, you will get it, the training in the game and the entire campaign just led up to rolling all over the place trying to dodge fireballs for 1 hour of trying to kill Nim and the clones in the 2nd phase was almost impossible, I will say though I had the biggest smile ever after each phase was done, and this boss was incredibly hard. I believe he needs to be nerfed, honestly.
    Thank you, -Slay

    _____________My Suggestions_____________
Add aim assist to consoles - Cloak/Shotgun Fixes
Add radios to cars - Clan stratocarrier with Concept Art

If you use blur and have escape artist it is a lot easier. I can imagine if you're using overcharge it can be a pain.

    I wouldn't say he's hard, more irritating.
Having just beaten him ten minutes ago, the one-hit-killing nature of half of his moves was a little painful, but I used blur and a heavy scattershot, and a BMG for my secondary. It was less of a fight, and more of a "Let's see who can run around faster, but I get to heal and you don't.". I regret having to drop all tact and brainpower to kill him, but it worked, I guess.

Let's see who can run around faster
But it was epic. Most of the time boss battles involve me circle strafing some ogre while pumping them full of buckshot. Having an enemy just as fast as me was epic. His second phase was just crazy and awesome. I only hope that we can get more boss battles like this, because fighting hulking giants gets old.

He does have a tad too much HP though. Could be brought down a bit. I wouldn't slow him down or nerf his damage though.

I agree, it was an interesting fight. The game stacks up - Once you can get logged in and get past the lag, it's a hell of a lot of fun. Inadvertently stayed up until 4 AM, but am eagerly awaiting waking up so I can get back into it.

I really do not get the problems people are having with him. Killed him without dying with an AR/auto-shotty and overcharge as an active. Take some defensive perks and his abilities no longer insta-kill you if you mess up a bit. Was actually kind of thinking "wow, that's it?" afterwards.

Yea i though it was kinda easy with defence perk + 50% regen shield. All i did was roll behind pillar when shield is down or when he does the aoe dmg to avoid it.

Kill him in 2 try np actualy with overcharge

To me hes difficultee on a scale of 10 is like 4? maybe 5 at most

Two nights in a row now I have stayed up until 4:30am. I am addicted to this game. I just want to wake up early and continue playing, lol. I can barely keep my eyes open to post this...sleep finally!!!
The true soldier fights not because he hates what is in front of him, but because he loves what is behind him.

Just the name of this post is sort of a spoiler and gives things away, it should be removed.

    He's... hard?

I beat him just minutes ago, all I used was an unmodded LMG and cloaked only 3 times to get far enough away for ammo. I didn't die once. It's all about knowing how to roll, and ducking behind the central terra-spire column on the final stage.
