    He's not that bad really...
One of my favorite games. That and Eosd are my favorites in the Touhou series in particular.

I haven't reached the end yet - I was waiting for three days for my girlfriend to finally finish downloading the game before moving on with the story. (She kept getting patcher errors halfway through.) Should be there within a week, now. Given the state of the rest of the game difficulty wise I'm not exactly worried.

To all of you who managed to kill Nim first try, I'm happy for you.
I don't really care about your e-peen though.
Neither is it really constructive for anyone still trying to finish the mission line.

Far as a nerf goes, I don't think he is as bad as that.
It does take a bit of anticipating his attacks.
I had to die a few times to figure out what was going on.
I used decoy to draw him away and pummel him with an LMG on the first phase.
Flipped to a heal gun to top off and help catch him since he jumps around like a jackrabbit.
I had the most trouble with the second phase for some reason.
Maybe it was the crystals and everything else getting in the way.
Had to use self-revive before I had him to half and kept getting bad luck with the crystal time.
Didn't every really figure out an easy method for the second phase though.
Third phase started out rough but once I kept circle strafing behind one of the pillars it was easier.
Just poke your head around right after he does his big attack and you'll wear him down.
Kept running around like a maypole dance and didn't try to stand in there and tear him a new one.

I cant follow. I did this guy in the first try ... Used alot of evasive moves with ALT and my beloved SAW.

The only thing is you have to look at his atack patterns. They are ALWAYS the same. So if you see a big yellow missile coming your direction - dodge! If you see it a second time - dodge again b/c it still hits very hard.

Just memorize his moves and react. And if you find this "endboss" hard - try some of the games of the 90th. Compared to bosses there this one is a joke. Oh and i like the overall difficulty setting of the game.

If I die on phase two does the fight begin from phase 1 again? If so I may as well ask someone to log into my account and do this for me..(I am joking of course)

I am glad there are allot of talented people out there on this stuff ...me I am not so much..I love games like this just not skilled at them...

So here is my Nim saga over 3 days with about 6 hours clocked on Nim and I can't get passed the first phase. He's very hard for me...very..thats very with a VERY. Best I have done is get him down to 1/4 Hit points in first phase. Thats it.

So for me the fight seems ridiculously difficult... but I appreciate the fact there are allot of talented gamers that can do this easily. I am still practicing but if the fight revert back to phase one if I die in Phase two or phase three then this will take me a very long time, 5000 ego rating, some luck and probably all nine perks to accomplish.

But I am still at it and practicing...I want to get him down. I now have ego rating of 500+ with four perks and I can't hit the guy to do any damage...I somehow can't manage to target the guy in the fight hardly and can't see if I even hit him....All the dodging gets me physically disoriented. I should probaly go with shot gun for a wider reticle instead of AR

Not to mention once you die, unless revive is up, I barely get a chance to see how much damage i have done to Nim since Trion evac's you within a half second.

Then the worst of it is the teleport every single time back into the zone...Every F-in time....couldn't they have chosen to just restart the fight..I don't need to look at the stupid cut scene again ..I just saw it!

Anyway does any one know if you have to begin from phase one if you die in phase two or three?

I used Fortitude 3, Cellular Armor 3, Regeneration 3 Execution 3 (for 30% shield recharge on critical hits) VOT Pulse Rifle for entire body spread and extreme firing rate and a VBI Combat Shotgun both fully modded and Cloak to do emergency shield regens wasn't too hard.

I have to say, I had a complete opposite experience. I died so many times to him (stealth, SMG/Sniper which was useless in this fight) that I thought about walking away from the game for a bit. I am however quite stubborn and stuck with it, switching to a SMG/BMG, running and healing was the only way I was finally able to beat him. Don't ask how many times I died, because I lost track.
