Agreed. I ran smg the whole time with blur and a rhino shield (not exactly the OP's recommended build). I'll admit i went into it thinking he was gonna be a chump and got my teeth kicked in a couple of times. but after that it was really just a war of attrition. he is incredibly fast and hits really hard but everything he does is predictable. the trick to beating nim is just predicting what he is going to do and avoiding it. honestly, he does pretty much the same thing every attack cycle so if you take damage its because you made a mistake or miscalculated where to go/be to avoid his attack.

you just have to anticipate whats coming so you can effectively move faster than he does. that said, blur and the escape artist perk did help a lot when i needed to get out of trouble.

This thread is still going? Well damn! I wasn't even watching or participating in the forums before I finished the main campaign and I have to say that I cant seem to figure out how some could say that this is the hardest boss you have ever faced?I beat him with the rifle that Nolan gives you from the last episodic mission.I never switched weapons.I only used the rifle and overcharge.....Nothing else.He downed me once on the second phase, i revived myself and never died again. After you learn his moves pattern its very easy to avoid them.

Well glad to see all you folks can beat him. I cannot. Not even past the first round on the PC. All I do is dodge, dodge, dodge, dodge.... I knock down about 3/4 of his health every time... and die around then. I think I've wasted 3 hours on this guy, which is enough for me.

Just finished my 2nd playthrough, killed Nim first try (again) using only a VBI HP-6 Wolfhound the entire fight.
Clearly L2P issues if you're struggling with him, there's nothing he does you can't avoid getting hit by.
And there are so many objects you can line-of-sight him with in phase 2-3...

Stop asking developers to nerf everything to toddler level and start learning/adapting instead.
What is the point of games if they're so easy they require no effort at all to complete?

I'd much rather see hardmodes added and all the instanced missions replayable directly, without having to go through the entire storyline every time.
