I killed him with a Tachyon Shield with 25% HP Regen and a Clustershot Shotgun. Perks were Thick Skinned, Fortitude (one with 225 more HP), 3% HP regen one, and Scavenger. There is a 5th one, can't remember.

All I did was run around shooting grenade shots at him from the shotgun and using my grenade when he ran at me. To heal up, I just ran around a little till I healed up some from my regen.

I killed him with an assault rifle after maybe the fourth try. The only difficult part was the first part of the battle, after that it was a piece of cake.

I think there must be something inconsistent about this boss. I am having a great deal of trouble too. I am literally being killed before I can get him in my reticle at times. I see people saying the fight is easy except for the first phase. The first phase is cake to me. The second isn't really hard. I've never died in either of those but the last phase he just spam fireballs me. I can't use cover because he goes through it if Im close enough to have time to get behind it. I really think there is something out of whack about him. I consistently score in the top 5 in crowded Arkfalls and I usually place first in coop maps so I don't think I can be doing all that much wrong damage or targeting-wise. I've tried a variety of weapons too. I think about the only thing I haven't tried is a pistol. The closest I've come is with the LMG.

If you have that much trouble, I strongly suggest not using a pistol.

I just watched a couple of Youtube vids of the fight and he is moving waaaay slower in them. I wonder if it's some kind of client timing issue or something. One guy using a shotgun had more bullets hitting him on his pauses than I do with a LMG.

Haha you really want to nerf Nim? I kill him today with just a shotgun :/

I also like to add that I didnt die once either. First try - done.

There's a great video guide on youtube. Personally, I used an AR and Cloak. Once you get the hang of dodging either right-before or in-the-middle-of his attacks he's not hard.

    Just annoying as hell.

Focus on surviving, dodge a lot and shoot whenever you can. When the pillars pop up stick to the side and shoot down a main alley. In the final phase just strafe around the main pillar to avoid his attacks. Honestly, he just gets easier with time.

But I agree, he is a pain in the *** for the first time. Not hard, just annoying.

I thought he was pretty easy actually. The battle wasn't too fast though. I circled the pillers to avoid being hit by his attacks. Used an SMG and I had cloak.

I'm not trying to say that people who are calling this a hard fight are bad, but I didn't seem to have too much trouble with him at all. I'm not trying to brag either but I didn't die/get downed once. I used the Frontier Shotgun (Pump Shotgun) and the VBI Assault Rifle. Both of them were unmodded. My EGO Power was Cloak and I think I maybe used it once at the very beginning and realized I probably should have went with Overcharge or Blur for more damage or better mobility. Other than that I used the shotgun about 99% of the time unless he teleported on top of the balcony and cloned himself.

I don't exactly remember the stages but I believe the first stage I circle strafed and didn't stop moving. You don't want to use ADS and you want to hip fire the entire time with the shotgun. While reloading you want to make sure that you hit shift to sprint while reloading because you will stop sprinting when you start shooting the shotgun.

For the second phase umm I believe that's the one where he clones himself? I would just rush back and forth and shoot the targets till I heard the extra damage sound that you hear when you shoot the Monarchs in the stomach or the Warriors in the mouth. The instant I heard that I would just spam shoot the target that made the noise.

The third phase is the one where he shoots out the beams from him and has the halo aoe effect? you just gotta line of sight the damage behind one of the 4 pillars on either half of the room. then pop out and shoot him till he starts charging up again.

Finally just go back to circle strafing while hip firing and he'll die.

Again not everyone plays the same or uses all the same weapon nano-effects or ego perks.

But with the VBI Assault Rifle and Frontier Shotgun I was able to do this without utilizing my EGO power more than once.

    Hope this helps.
