Nim Fight - Either make it easier or fix the bugs and lag
This is ridiculous. I did lots of tries now on Nim with no progress at all to be seen. I did not even get out of phase 1.
I know I would probably be able to if I did another 30 tries, because its purely random. I have tries where he just charges me right at the start and I die and get teleported out, and I have tries where I get him to 1%. And there is nothing to be learned, I am not getting better at all, my best tries were at try 4 and 9 or something like that. Completely random. If you die or not simply depends on if the buggy charging mechanic will hit you or not. And as your position does not really affect if you get hit or not... what can I do about that?
The whole encounter is just so badly designed, buggy like hell and heavily relies on latency.
- Why do you even implement dodging in this game if dodging will not do anything when he charges you?
- Why does he still hit me when I am obviously not even close to being in his path?
- Why can I not revive but instantly get teleported out, although I did not press any button?
- Why do I get stuck when completely dead, cant press extract and have to wait for the friggin bar to deplete?
- Whats the point of all the weapons if 99.9% of them do not work on him?
- Why do I sometimes die before I actually see him charging me?
- You should know that people will not have 50ms latency, so why do you implement a non optional encounter that requires you to have a friggin cable connection?
And now to the worst part of this crap encounter:
- Why did I have to pay more than 2000 scrip for trying to kill him? You really think I will continue trying to kill him and waste my other 60000 scrip for kill attempts on a boss that is completely bugged up to hell? Why does dying (which obviously is completely unavoidable) cost me money? You must be ****ing kidding.
Fix the encounter, this is not funny at all, this is just ridiculous.

Try using a BMG. It's an easy fight, it just takes a while to complete. I got it on my first try without dying or knowing what to expect from him.

He is a pain, I will say that. I haven't gotten to him yet in the live release. But I know in Alpha he pretty much wiped the floor with me for a while. The cost of script to revive is just thier version of armor repair. Abd be happy the cost has gone down to revive. used to be a hell of a lot more. Blew about 15k in 8 tries in Alpha. The latency issue is a new one, never saw that before. Hopefully you are able to get through it without kickboxing your tower.

Yet many others have beaten him with little to no issues. Maybe try different weapons, different tactics, get better, etc rather than trying to blame it on the game when it is clearly doable.
Youre the 1st person Ive seen having all of these issues. Perhaps it is an issue on your end like a PC that doesnt run the game well, crappy ISP, etc. Judging by your complaints about a cable connection, I would assume maybe it is a crappy ISP. Not really sure why you would expect to do well in an online shooter if you have such a crappy internet connection. Thats kind of an important factor in these types of games, and not something that Trion is at fault for.

Bunnyhoping avoids 90% of his attacks.

Got him in first go, just spammed his head with my trusty LMG and ofc avoiding his attacks, its about patience and being 1 step ahead of his attacks

I used a 222dmg 12RoF assault rifle and got him on the 2nd or 3rd try or so. Was really easy once you get the hang of things. I never played beta, so I hadn't seen the fight before.
If you're having too many issues, PM me and I'll let you know how I did it. Don't want to post too many spoilers here.

LOS behind the poles when he starts saying something about your fate and doing his specials.

I just did the fight.
He died first try and no deaths for me.
Honestly it was quite easy...
Dodging + using Line of Sight on Pillars.
My loadout was an SMG and a Ground Pounder Grenade Launcher, simple strategy was to fire the sticky grenades on him, when he finally started casting something I just detonated them...
Was cake
