its stats reflect the rarity of it. i upgraded mine to oj and now it has a 29k cap. it will probably have the same capacity as a supreme ga when supreme.
Exactly right, and hopefully they rethink this and do the right thing.
Reason as to why Ion was nerfed: to be on par with the shield system.
Let me explain:
All shields follow a 6 point system, split among their 3 categories. There are no half points, only full points. Now, what do I mean by this? Take for example an Ironclad:
Capacity: 3 points (30K)
Recharge Rate: 1 point (10%)
Recharge Delay: 2 points (6 secs)
and a Respark:
Capacity: 1 point (18K)
Recharge Rate: 2 points (40%)
Recharge Delay: 3 points (2.55 secs)
Now, the Ion Insulator breaks the no half points rule being a special shield and all, and in it's current state it breaks a little from the 6 point system due to being a special shield but not too much:
Ion Insulator
Capacity: 3 points (30K)
Recharge Rate: 0.5 points (5%)
Recharge Delay: 3 points (2.55 secs)
As you see, the Ion Insulator is actually balanced to the current shield system. Sadly, the system itself is in need of tuning, as it allows they existence of awful shields (looking at you Hurricane).
Defiance is gone. Gamigo has been "not neglecting" the game for over a year, yet there's nothing new except for low effort arkfalls and bitshop items.
I know it might be hard to quit a game you loved for years but you have to understand that it won't get better. Ever. If you like the game in it's current state, then sure, keep playing it. You're enjoying yourself after all. But if you aren't, don't hope for a better future for Defiance. Because it won't come.

Well cap on DH and EXL IC needs to be nerfed to the standard 30k we have on the other shields then..
Extra cap and a syn, if the Ion we would have had was OP then the DH is OP.
so why do you want to have a charity event rewards nerfed? do you want the exl event to have less people to join? do you want ? do you want to nerf the money the kiddos get?
Don't pretend you care about the charity..you just want your high cap shield and for no one else to have easy access to one.
Lets look at one of your PTS posts about the Ion you wanted nerf even though you don't test..
So why should we have DH out there making other shields useless? ooooo I bet its because you own one..
You want DH to top dog don't pretend otherwise because no ones buying it..

PS if it really takes a shield to make you want to help a kids charity I feel bad for you as a person.
Some special shields, such as the Ion, Guardian Angel and EXL shields for example, get a minor boost in the 6 point system.
And it would have the same cap than a DH but a Nano resistance which shouldn't be the case.

exl gear has its long fulfilling chase to get some gear. unlike the ion shield . why else do the exl event? . if its not to got to get money for needy kids? and to try to collect exl gear?
