rep levels

I know they added the new reputation level awhile ago but how do you get the new levels to unlock? My points are all maxed at various levels(between 2-5) and wont go higher

same here. my 7th legion rep is still stuck at 1300/1300 (rank 6) and the last time i posted a topic like this someone said to spend it first and try to rebuild it but it's back to the same numbers and it won't go up even though i get 15 rep a day from doing incursions

one of my toons though just reached rank 8 on tarr. if only theres a progress bar OTHER than the ones we see to know when will be the time it goes to another level

it's frustrating tbh. i just want my shinigami from the 7th legion vendor. i do the daily heck even the weekly contract that nets me 50 rep and still won't go up

A better question is: "why are there rep levels to begin with?"

If we're doing contracts and earning rep, there should be no limit to it. Majority of the player population buys crates as soon as they can anyways. There should be no limit, especially for Loyalty rep.

The rep levels require a certain amount of rep accrued over time to unlock. To reach Trusted rank, you had to earn 1000 rep. To earn Rank 8 is 6000 rep over the lifetime of your character.

For example, Rank 7 (1400/1400) is 4400 lifetime rep, I believe. So, to get from rank 7 to 8, you will need to earn 1600 more rep, meaning that you will have to spend and earn, spend and earn, until you cap out.

That would just be a waste of rep.

But again, there shouldn't be a max amount of earnable rep. The way I see it, you earned it, and thus, you should be able to keep it. Just like how 500 af is a stupid cap for af. Its unnecessary and once you hit it, why even play?

Where is that feeling of accomplishment when everything you work for isn't given to you because you hit a cap?

Where is the sense of accomplishment there, because I see none.
