It'll probably only be a "surprise" announcement of: "Oh hey, y'know those games you were really looking forward to playing on your current consoles, well, you're gonna have to buy a new one, although for an early preview you can blow one of our executives while wearing a mini-skirt. It's three second preview of a strand of hair rendering so realistically even though it's fantasy game and all our characters are sex on legs. Totally realistic!"

They seem to be determined to get XIV out on the PS3, even at this stage. Versus is most probably delayed till next gen though. :/

Then again, I'm a cynical misanthropic pessimist, so they could quite easily surprise me. By doing the exact opposite of what I expect. I never thought Drakengard 3 would ever be announced, so it wouldn't be the first time SE have done it. :>

Wait drakengard 3 was announced? I missed something...... ;( I played the...ps2 one can't remember if it was the first or 2nd. But it was fun. They should just let ffxiv die...it already did once and now they just used their last Phoenix down ~ ,~;

Only announced for Japan at the moment, since Drakengard has always done well there, but it could still see the light of day outside of it if need be. I'd still like XIV to get released on PS3, if only because I really want a fantasy MMO on PS3. XD

DC Universe Online is too unstable and doesn't really scream fantasy, and Defiance's character creator is just too limited for what I want, and again, not fantasy. :P

Subscription models are a way of the past as far as I'm concerned, micro-transactions are the way to go. One of the main reasons I wanted a PS3 was because I didn't want to pay a subscription fee on top of the price of a games console, that's just greedy, and not in the good way. :P

PSN might be limited, but I get more than what I pay for with it. Live is definitely the better service, but I wasn't in a position to afford it back when I got my PS3. Even now that I could, I'd rather buy a new game or DLC with it than put the money into a service that exists to take my money anyway. :/
