I guess your still having trouble with the xbox live, sorry to hear. While I was at work I did think of one thing I did on a friends that reset the package count inside the xbox, I went into the network settings after running a live check then reset the settings to factory and ran the test again, it went to connecting to internet and stopped but after waiting a few min and updating yet again it forced through.

On a side note any one here play FFXI? was going to get the new expansion and get back into it tonight. Or maybe, just maybe get on Defiance if I can convince myself to find something engaging there to do....but likely getting geomancer unlocked in FFXI will win
