Synergy and roll questions

I was curious about different synergies in the game the actual in game syns (or even new ones if you know a thing or two you would like to share) each of them has their own way of acting on guns some less usefull on some than others. i would like to know what things you have found do or dont work on certain guns with certain syns, i would also like to know wether or not anyone thinks oj velocity should be obtainable again (i think anything cold fire or explosive should get that roll respectively IE couriers blazes too) i would also like to know if an oj velocity MKI crimefighter exists....

as far as syns working or not working on guns, for starters one i wonder on is the effect of stalker on det velocity..... i believe that stalker should affect velocity existing on dets if it doesnt already (which i dont think it does) same with anything that has velocity obtainable stalker should increase velocity of these. I also wonder about rolling thunder on bmgs i know hip accuracy has no relevance but im more in question of the mag weather or not it has actual "size" to be extended, and all bmgs read 0.5 reload though i dont think this true it makes me wonder if quartermaster on bmgs has any real reason for being.

those questions asked i would like to make this thread a place for people to ask their own questions and answer to questions on things of that nature, if a dev would like to make a detailed account of how the synergies respectively work on different things to bring a better understanding that would be exemplary.

As far as I know, MKI CFs couldn't roll Velocity as oj.

Oj Velocity should be reinstated into the loot pool. We can reroll now anyways.

Stalker should increase det velocity as you said. It should apply to all Weapon.

Bmgs should get a revamp. Their Dps never matches the card. 11k/Dps? They just tickle enemies and do 200 dmg per tick. You get like 3-5 ticks a second (that's a guess) so you do like 800 dmg. Lol.

QM on Bmgs doesn't help it, sadly. In fact, no Syn really helps it except assassin and maybe cannoneer....

well stalker on bmgs is a thing, but bmgs seem shrouded in mystery, as much as they are used in events for the least amount of effort possible it seems no one really knows how it works, i also think that weapons should show all card stats for example showing accuracy on all guns. and shotguns really should show their crit, and i think couriers should have a velocity roll turnable. I am also in favor of OJ accuracy returning (and perhaps as a possible mastery on the loot table), i also think sawed offs should have (all shotguns should have this mastery removed and replaced) but especially sawed offs 2% ammo on melee kill? we need a +2 mag mastery PLEASE, or just bring back the old mag mastery for sawed offs..... especially with couriers which are explosive why am i going to stick a target to run up and melee it? or 2% ammo with a 90% chance of death in the attempt. we neeeeed more clear stats

Why are there no T4 Brutal Mods? Or rather, why are they so rare?

I wouldn't mind seeing +2 mag. Just restrict it to oj and supreme masteries.

Couriers should roll velocity and there should also be supreme recoil rolls. As someone who always has 0 recoil guns, supreme recoil at x.40 would be freaking awesome!

I think that there should be a defiance help guide for synergies to see how they affect guns more clearly similar to how we have Intel in a help section currently, also I still say we need more stats showing visibly on guns so we can see more of what's being affected even differentiating hip and aim accuracy would he nice too

Something that sorta meshes preexisting standard syns. Like say QM and Cann. But don't make it better. Make it an alternative. Like so:

+8% Reload
+5% FR
(3rd part of Cann Syn)
(3rd part of QM)

This way it is a hybrid of Cann and QM, but it doesn't overpower it. If you had that same gun you could specialize in Reload or FR by comparison to having both.

Now, this is simply an idea. The devs tend to mesh things together.... this is meant to give an alternative, however, I think synergies need to be remade or revamped in a way that allows them to be better than what they are currently.

Possibly. Perhaps there's just not enough devs on staff these days.

I'm enjoying the conversation, because there are alot of things that need to be readjusted with these new synergies. I know they're in the process of improving weapons atm, slowly but surely, and I appreciate it, but we need new things for when we aren't in an event, and as it stands, there are very few stand syns that can compare to some of the event synergies.

For technical stuff, the best help I got on the forums came from the pc clan Consortium. Sirserved and dixie cougar. Consortium did tons of live testing and had the best understanding of the games mechanics. Thats who I would contact.

haven't seen velocity on any cf 1.

stalker increasing velocity could be nice.

bmg could stand to do more dps.

and totally wrong on QM syn for BMG. The 0.5 reload shown on the card is ONLY the time the reload animation takes. That reload animation just starts the recharging it is not the entire time it takes to recharge. With no reload syn/mag/roll it takes ~3.0 seconds to get from 0% to 100%. Reload modifiers actually affect that 0 to 100% time, not the card reload.

So with QM syn, t4 reloader, and blue reload, on a bmg - it would be about 1.35 seconds from 0 to 100% instead of 3.0 seconds.
