    Death, Revive and Extraction

    Death needs to be feared, the money lost is too low and people don't care for extraction.
    With the low penalty for extraction it makes reviving useless.

    Either
    -Raise the scripts lost for extraction. (Maybe a certain amount x ego level)
    -Add Keystone lost
    -Add Reputation lost
    -Add Resource lost
    -Add Weapon/Equipment lost (Might be too severe a penalty.)

    One of these should make people less eager to extract when there are a bunch of people around them. Making the Ark fall community able to revive people more and playing Co-op teammates can actually have teammates revive them, rather than doing self-revive and extraction.

    I know a lot of people will probably hate this idea, but if the penalty for death is that low, why not just remove death entirely.

    I agree its too low, but rather than raise it, I think they should make it a set %. Like say maybe 5-7%?that way you dont punish the new chars with low scrip amounts but punish those who have been playing longer and have more scrip.

    But on the same case, I'd also like to see more people willing to Stop Shooting for half a freakin second and do more revives. 3 times during different major arkfalls this morning i went down and waited till nearly the end before using my self revive, all because none of the 15+ peeps around me felt like stopping and pickin me up.

    I agree, but they need to make a big dying symbol so people can see us. It's hard to see people dying in a big Arkfall. I sometimes feel like it is better to move away from the crowd, while other times I feel it is better to move towards.

    The percentage of script is a good method as well. I know borderlands does it and you lose around a million or two if you have a high amount of money.

    At the rate games are going these days, it wouldn't surprise me to see this.

    In most cases, you can just zerg until you win a mission. There is no incentive or requirement to play a mission even remotely well in order to pass.

    You can die ten times in a mission, yet gradually thin out enemy forces with each life until none are left. You simply can not, ultimately, fail.

    Yea, I see that a lot of times. Die and thin them out until it's easier and easier.

    How about no, a lot of "deaths" i've seen are on major arkfalls when there's a ton of people/mobs and the downed players are made invisible so you can see the closer enemies/players even if the downed player is about 10ft away from you.

    Actually, maybe they should make the revive symbols larger and even with arrows. I'm a reviver - medic type player from mass effect. I love saving people's gameplay but not all are like that. Many are focused on xp and what they get out of killing so much that they don't care. So instead of making someone pay more for extraction why not give perks for revives? Every so many revives gives you resources or keystones. I'd say every five revives because you likely won't come across that many revive options and five revives is a nice amount to reward someone for doing - it means they are playing beyond themselves and looking to help others in their gameplay.

    I lost that battle in Alpha. Used to be 5% scrip death penalty and some lost thousands of scrips, cried and got it removed ...

    i'm for that, would also be cool if they added in an option to prioritize visuals on players that are downed so during a major arkfall you can actually see them and not leave them for dead

    Personally, I think the whole topic of meaningless death is premature. I myself would be majorly pissed off to have them jacking with it while server stability and lag is so prevalent. Also, when I am able to play, I have a blast. If you have an issue with death being trivial, then make it your own personal goal to not die.. or keep count and punish yourself for each death.. whatever floats your boat, but please don't start tryin to screw everyone else over with elitist BS
