Yes! Self revive annoys me. If you are alone then fine. But if there are 3-5+ people around you then it shouldn't even be an option. And yes there needs to be penalty! I see so many people just carelessly running and gunning because if they die they just revive with no issue and continue on their way. What's the point of using cover, strategy, dodging, etc. when you can just go in like Rambo and never worry about anything.

well, the way i see it is that the penalty is fine the way it is! but if you want to have people to start helping each other, then give them a bonus for the revive, like a small ammount of xp or something like that, because even if you increase the penalty of dying, ppl wouldnt care to revive you, since they wont be getting anything out of it, which is the problem imo.

So losing only 100 script is a good penalty for dying? I'm a high ego and I'm losing that amount whenever I extract. People shouldn't carelessly run in and die, then extract. I do agree with a reward for reviving a player though. We'll just wait and see if they do anything about it or keep it the same.

I agree to the issue that reviving needs to be rewarded more significantly, especially in arkfalls, which Sledgehammer said he's looking into.

The low death penalty seems relatively consistent with many shooters or MMOs. My deaths are often caused by latency issues as well and there's little recourse for players like me who live far from where the servers reside and there seems to be no plans for servers in Asia or down under.

In addition to the script lost, time wasted in extracting and returning to the mission location is penalty enough, although I believe the script cost and time needed to "respawn" for repeated deaths within a short time frame could be increased to prevent abusing the reckless zerging approach.

Because having more money is totally worth penalizing.

The only thing they should look into is perhaps having a penalty for dying to your character. And thats only if they want to ruin the general fun of this game. I can't think of Many MMOs that really punish you for dying outside of the time it takes for you to get back.

The ones that did punish you with money or huge exp loss, haven't lingered very well.

Two of the longest on-going MMO's aside from WoW are FF11 and EvE.

It's misleading saying games such as those don't linger very long. With rare exception, developers simply don't make games like those any more. Games have become substantially more lenient and simplified so that anyone can do well/more sales.

The percentage of script is a good method as well. I know borderlands does it and you lose around a million or two if you have a high amount of money.
    OH MY GOD, THIS!

I swear, just to find people who are down you have to stop what you're doing and scout out the area. They need a flashing + over them or something!
