What type of controller do you use?

I've seen a few comments about the lack of text chatting in game. I even read that one person uses the PC version of the game, but instead of a keyboard, uses their Xbox controller.

So it made me curious as to how many actual keyboarders are playing this game versus a game controller.
Which might explain why "text" chat is "lacking".
I have read that there is a voice chat channel, in game, but also that the voice quality is lacking.
Could the intention of Defiance chat have been for voice chat, instead of text chat? I know Sony sells or did sell a small keyboard device for the PS3, not sure if such is available for the Xbox or not.

I play on the PC version and use a keyboard.

Yes the voice system in game is poor, best to turn it off. However doing so disables your chat.
Having said that, neither disabled chat or controller use is the reason that people do not speak often, because they do, in local or group chat.
The reason you don't see lots of text is because there's no zone/global chat, as is intended.

Controllers on the PC version are a bit..bleh. If you had to use one, Rumblepad 2 is good.

Xbox 360 controller, best controller all time and is preconfigured for almost every game. I use a controller on the PC version simple because I find it more comfortable. Sure my aim isn't as good as it would be, but that doesn't stop me from being #1-5 on Arkfall damage.

Controller movement is somewhat slow though and I haven't found a slider or a setting to increase it. I know it is because I couldn't get Gold while doing the Mini-gun rampage, but I switched to mouse and keyboard and got it the first time.

Okay so I have the Rumblepad 2 and I have had one hell of a time making it work. Any advice? Please.

I play on Xbox NA and I use the Xbox controller(sarcasm)
As far as the keyboard, I have a wireless Logitech keyboard that I use for chat and works just fine.
As for the voice chat on Xbox....I have no complaints, except for the people who insist on leaving there kinects on......

I'm one of those....This is so very much a concolse game that even on the PC I use my USB Wired Xbox 360 Controller.

I just use a Ps3 controller for most of my PC games as its not often i use KB&M as i think Rift and SWTOR are the only ones i dont use a controller for
