If its login issues it has to do with either networking or more likely there Identity Server has crashed. Those hold all our connection info on them. I like the one blog post with all the tech talk in it since I am a DBA that has focus in OID lol

It's NOT the login issues that are so bad, it's the CONSTANT disconnect issues that's a REAL PITA.

Id have to agree, the DC issues are whats really bugging me, I understand the downtimes for updates and all but I tend to get a bit urked when I get DCed while in an arkfall and all my efforts are wasted. otherwise its a great game

An issue like this it's impossible to give an ETA on guys. This is more than likely a networking issue, so they're going to have to trace the problem. It's probably a port on a switch going bad, or an improperly configured vlan or port. It takes time to track down which one it is, and to make the configuration changes.

If it's a coding issue in the login server it's self, it'll take even longer. The big thing is they've acknowledged the issue and are working on it. Grab a snickers, it might be a while.

I know the store nearby sells the novelty 2 pound snickers bars but if I start goin that route I'll probably look like Jaba by the time things go right.... but did play most of yesterday so least they are making progress, just throw a fresh hamster in the wheel so all of us can go back to game.

Even games with extensive open and closed betas have had this issue. Guildwars 2 for example. Even games long out of beta into commercial release have this problem with expansions after extensive testing.. World of Warcraft for example. It IS normal.

Wrong. The final beta for all mmos is open to stress test servers. Been doing betas since eq in 90s.

But it is normal for an mmo launch. WOW, Aion, Rift, GW, non mmo's like Diablo 3 and Sim-City, C&C, StarCraft, the list goes on. Now yes some did better than others, but launch week has ALWAYS been a nightmare. Heck WOW has an issue still whenever a new expac launches.

So long as this isn't some 6-12 hour downtime I'm alright with it. Stuff happens guys, when you have a game this awesome small issues are to be expected. Giant super problems how ever I would have expected to be hammered out in alpha/beta(that includes server issues) and would make me unhappy as a reasonable customer. They do an awesome job keeping us updated though, so I expect if it really was something massive they've probably have let us know by now.
