I think the Aliens in this game has gotten control of the servers, maybe Trion boost their EGO to get them back

Good for you? There is really no sound/logical reason for people to voice a complaint about losing progress (missions done, pursuits) from the past hour+ and maybe even losing a few good drops in the process. None whatsoever.

I can deal with the disconnects but the rollbacks are what get to me.

THIS! Rollbacks of this magnitude (2-3 hours) after each crash can kill off games REAL FAST!

for a company that does mmos this is pretty sad i played wow and ddo at launch. srsly not normal for mmos. nowhere near the downtime....

You're wrong. A rolling restart just means they are restarting each of the servers in succession instead of all at once. It has nothing to do with losing characters.

would be nice if there was something to come up in-game about this stuff I like playing the game not coming to forums every couple hours to check when its going to be down

this. I just got dc'd randomly, didn't know what was going on because nothing showed up in game,and then had to check the forum. I've never been on any forum so religiously. especially since there's jack **** ingame info about wtf to do with contracts and outfits and the like.

Here's a novel thought... perhaps and in-game notification would be nice? You know, if it's not to much trouble....

They do have them but if you blink, you'll miss them :| They really *NEED* to move server notices to a banner going across the top middle of the screen, not the damn chat box which stays up for a few seconds.
