That is so 2002 after a decade of better hardware and higher capacity networks it is nothing but bad code
because their chat window comes up for 3 seconds then goes away and shows 4 lines of text. and it's in an awkward spot. A+ for UX.
Can we get some kind of in game alert system? You know like every other MMO ever made does. Big all caps red text warning in the chat box letting us know of a world shut down. Example:
WARNING SERVER SHUTTING DOWN IN 5 MINUTES
A warning every few minutes is pretty standard in MMOs

Of all the times it's been down (which has been ALOT), I have yet to notice the alert in the chat window, or that the chat window even exists for that matter. Horrible means of notification.
