Thieves are quiting the items fast from trade before accepting,they show item and quit it when the other person is going to accept so here is my suggestion to stop it: add a 3 seconds countdown before the window closes,so players can double check the trade they did in those 3 seconds and cancel it if necesary.The countdown should start after both players accept

my idea to put a end to players getting ripped offed via the sale of ark forge. is to put a 24 hour cool down on trades . you cant mod upgrade weapons after they been traded . and trion will have to make a way to trade items between toons on your account .

You can't get ripped off if when you engage in these types of transactions because it is against the TOS. Even if you had a confession that was witnessed and signed by the Pope the most that will happen is that the other player will get suspended but you will never get your items back.
That being said, the solution to the problem that Dan is talking about is to make trades a 2-step process. The first step would be a screen that allows each person to select and change what they are offering and only shows them their inventory and what the have selected to offer in the trade. Once both parties have clicked a button that finalizes their offer the second step would display a screen similar to the current trade window but not allow any changes to be made to them.
On a side note they need to add a private trade chat that you can use while in the trade window.
I still dont understand how ppl steal thur trades. I mean if i'm in a trade window with someone and i accept the trade..but the other person changes the items they put in the trade window i get a pop up telling me the items have changed and i have the option to accept or dont...so are ppl just laying on the accept button and not paying attention or what?

If someone accepted first and the other person quits an item,the trade is canceled and you have to accept again.They make you accept first without any item on their trade window: the thief shows an item in trade,you think that everything is going well without knowing his intentions so you put an item and decide to accept the trade,they quit the item fast at the instant you was going to accept after your item is already there.
All they have to do is: put an item,wait for the other person to put an item too,press X followed by square fast,because they do that last step when the other person is almost accepting,just in the last second.It takes less than a second to quit an item and accept fast.
Knowing I was dealing with a thief months ago,I tried to avoid being stolen accepting first,before of him so if he changes something the trade would be canceled and that is what happened but I failed at the second try,the thief quited the item fast enough to steal me.It was just 50k but I had to try it,I wanted to know if I could avoid being stolen

Right there with you, if I have agreed on terms of a trade I always let the other person accept first then I press accept.
