Thread: XBOX one

    XBOX one

I have tried looking for threads about coming to new gen consoles and have found none but I have not looked very hard. I played the game when it first came out on Xbox 360 and enjoyed it very much. I started watching the show again and it got me thinking of how fun it was to play. I lost my old XBOX a while back when house burnt down and haven't played since and was curious if it will ever come out to new gen consoles due to me not being a big fan of playing games on pc? I think it would be amazing to bring to new gens.

I agree 100%. Player base would explode but unfortunately Trion has no plans bringing it to the next generation.

The same can also be said during their Defiance live streams.. the question is asked, and the answer's always the same.

I am. I have many friends that transitioned over to the PS4 that used to play this game and I see many of them playing the F2P games the PS4 offers, such as Neverwinter, Star Trek online, or any of their f2p games in general. I see no difference if Defiance was to go next gen. especially if it came not as buggy and unstable as it is now on our old consoles. I think it would pull alot of players back in & bring in a whole new base...and if it was to be released with some type of new content going next gen then it's popularity would be next to none.

Herein lies the problem. My guess that the code is in such a bad state that it would take less time, effort, and money to re-write it from scratch. And I can't imagine that they will release it to the next gen in it's current state and risk alienating potential future customers so it is going to be stuck in the last gen until they pull the plug.

<sarcasm>The bright side is that at least we will have Trove.</sarcasm>

Well, with the corporate tax rate being reduced from 35% to 15% this coming year, they should have alot more money to allocate into the Defiance budget.

Yeah, I already can see that worn out game play from 2013 reeling in the players by the truckload.. said nobody ever. On top of that, the developers don't really have a favorable reputation among gamers anymore..
