And yes it would be a monumental task both conceptually and financially for whomever would take up the task of creating basically a brand new game but the payoff would be huge. You would keep the F2P version of course but there would be a portal, like the one that takes you to Silicon Valley, which would take you to this new paid content, the open world pvp map set in the Emerald Triangle, North of San Francisco.
F2P players would of course need someone who has bought the new content to access it just as the current dlc's but the F2Pers wouldn't be able to use the new gear and features until they bought the new content themselves.
I don't see how that couldn't work if they had the capital to make such a game...maybe Trion will have more of a budget for Defiance when their corporate tax rate is reduced down from 35% to 15% this coming year...and if not they could always sell the rights over to another game designer or we could help raise money for this by creating a Go Fund Me or Kickstarter page.lol

The big thing that I couldn't find it was I'm never on facebook and didn't even think to look there lol.
Yea for both that would be great and would be better if all systems could play together. (If people would stop being greedy that is)And Sony.

Twas doing a spot of crimbo shopping earlier and popped into my local Game shop and enquired about the whole backwards compatible thingy and cross platform gaming re xbx1 and pc and they said Trion only have to ask for it to be done and depending on the amount of support there was for it would determine how long it took.
So it can be done just Trion have to ask.
Trion doesn't want to pay the fee
