Patch for a new game?

Wrong. I got it on launch day. There was no major patch. It had a 1.2MB download. The game has had patches and downloads since, but nothing that took an hour (30 minutes for the first patch and apparently there are two of them).

Did I say major patch the first day? no i said they had multiple patches and blops 2 is not an MMO, learn to read about a game before you buy it. total download took me 10 minutes with both patches get off DSL and join big boy internet..

Bioshock Infinite. Mass Effect 3, Call of Duty Black Ops II, Tomb Raider. Those games either had a) no patch. or b) a patch that was less than 1.2mb and took 30 seconds to install. Please try again.

I never said how large the patches were , also this is an online only game and majority of these games come with a lot larger patches than most games.

Well we are talking about a patch right after the game came out. Of course every game is going to have a patch at some point. BUT THAT'S NOT WHAT WE ARE DISCUSSING.

I think you guys are missing the point. I know there will be patches. My complaint is that they are there at launch and they are VERY large files, and defiance has VERY slow servers.

I understand your frustration mate, but the game needs these patches atm, and needs more. I've had quite a few disconnects and lags around arkfalls sometimes. If they weren't patching these things as soon as they think they have a fix, everybody would be in an uproar.

Why is there already a patch for the game? Did they screw up the final version so bad that they immediately had to issue a patch for it? It's really annoying that I have to wait 30 minutes for a patch to download when the game came out 5 days ago. Especially since I had to wait 10 minutes for it to "install game data" (isn't that on the freaking disc?) The patch is only downloading at 270 kb/s. They don't have any better servers to download the patch from?!?! (My internet speed is 20 down 1.5 up).

So far so terrible. I hope the show is better.

Large? It's like 100 MB in total or so..

Also.. ALMOST (statisfied?) every game has a patch on launch. You know.. They don't put the game on that shiny disc of yours a day before release. It's done like 2 weeks prior to the launch date, meaning anything they need to fix and or any issues that find afterwards, have to be fixed in a patch. I like how you name a few games that didn't have a day 1 patch and tell him to "Try again..". How many games have you played? Maybe you should try again.
