I see a lot of the ppl that used to be uber active on here and super excited about the game and the forums Morph into something much, much less than 1-2 months ago...not a good sign, fanboi's aside of course.

Plus there has been a fair amount of new stuff come out. This live stream they showed a few new vehicles, last week was a *whole hour* of game play from first log on through character creation, cut scene and game play on the X-Box through IGN. Lore wise we're getting a lot more language and a bit more storyline. Next week they're going to hopefully show off the Collectors Ed. in game outfits etc (hopefully lance will be wearing it...It's the only thing that would beat the green hat & bow tie!).

But they do have to be careful about what they release. If they mention something they shouldn't it could not only impact the game, but the show as well. That whole transmedia thing. (Though, I could stand to hear more about how that is going to work...) Also Live Streaming the Alpha servers things can change between now and release. At this point most of the major things would be set in stone (they're not going to remove Hellbugs and replace them with Ponies at this late hour for example) but balancing of weapons and rewards could still conceivably change. In other games I've seen people throw massive wobblies over a change to their 'favourite weapon' that got a minor modification in late beta to release that in their opinion has now "Destroyed the whole game".

Ya watching the stream yesterday did more harm then good for me. I really liked the whole concept of the game. But the fact that pvp is only standared battlegrounds and the shadow wars seem very brief kinda threw me off. Looks as if the game is gonna go the way of rift where they constantly update and add more pve content and the pvp is gonna get neglected. I really hope thats not the case. At this point I cant seem to get any of my pvp friends interested.

Sadly I think you were hoping this game would be something different. The developers have actually stated that his was going to be a PvE game. They have added in some cool death match and capture the point type of PvP but it is not the focus.

I feel for you console players as you haven't had a beta yet, a lot of attention has been done to PvP even though stream and video wise not much has been released. Sadly again NDA prevents me from going into much detail, but imagine COD, battlefield and borderlands being combined into a PvP with far larger player count and vehicles a lot been done and they have tried to make sure PvP just as good as PvE. Hope that help you a bit more, but that's all I can say /
