Looking at your account, you acquired a patron pass on 12/28, and prior to that have only had the free compensation 3 day patron. Karma is currently working for your account since you purchased a patron pass, and I see it is increasing over time. Your karma is indeed working, however you have not had a patron pass for the previous 400 majors you have completed, only the past few dozen. I hope that you get a jackpot soon!
Been playing since September 2014, before there were even events. I've played hard as many of my friends and clan mates watched them get JP after JP, T4 drop after T4 drop and I wait 8 months to a year...Tried almost every trick in the book, didn't help. But my friends and clan mates kept raking them in. Know plenty of players with WAY worse RNG than me, Day 1 players who still never got a JP or didn't till they got Karma PP drop. Not saying karma don't work, but it's all tied to your RNG just like everything else. This last event I never received or saw a single ERR of any tier. This has been the second event this has happened to me since Karma started. I believe Trion has manipulated the drop rates overall to force ppl to buy patrons or event boxes. Oh and on to the weighted RNG, I just got 10 OJ blasters this event, but not a single OJ det, bolter, or battery. I'd say almost half my weapons drops were the plasma blaster. So while I have no forms for my RNG, I remember what I get. So while some go 50-75 majors before a karma drop there are others doing 400+ and still no luck. Yes karma works, but it's tied to your RNG. So gl to all patrons!
Sorry for your frustration, however it is impossible to do 400 majors with Karma and not get a jackpot. Nothing has been manipulated, and drop rates for non patron players was not changed when karma was released, and has not changed since. Karma is simply an offering for patron players who want to take some of the RNG out of the equation when it comes to jackpots. If you try a patron pass, you will clearly see the difference, and if not, then we are very glad you are still enjoying Defiance, and I promise you nothing has been made worse for non-patron players at any time.
My rng was much the same re the t4 lock box jps when they first came out, I wasn't getting any drops until I mentioned it in a thread and then I started to get one every other month or so.
I've not had one since I got a jp shield on the ps3 na but not one since well not that I recall.
Personally I'd not worry about jps if the old way to get ojs still existed as getting an oj now is nearly as rare as getting a jp sometimes.
It is what it is Destro. I just threw out the 400 major cause thats what the OP was saying. And you explained to him what happened. Think the most I've heard from a friend was 200+, but again that is hearsay. I'm sure Karma would help my JP drops, I have no doubt, but money is tight here. I'm getting used to the fact this is a non patrons life, lol. My issue is more of the weighted RNG. I'll openly admit my play time is reduced for several reasons, new baby and yes some frustration. But I still enjoy the game. Now I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed, I do remember alot. And the drop rate and drops have changed. Oh and Happy New Year!
