It seems to me that pc gamers tend to be more mature and therefore are more understanding of the failings that come with beta. Console players are more likely to expect a PR demo in stead of a beta, so it's in Trion's best interest to hold off until they have a near-finished product. It sucks, but it'd really suck if the console beta had so many serious issues that it put off our less understanding players.
I totally wrote the first Defiance filk:

Also, I used to recruit for the Anarcho-Syndicalist Revolutionary Union <ASRU Ark Hunters> (on 360 NA), but no one was interested, and I don't know if I'll ever bother playing again.
Well, it's certainly not going to be the beta. Just a demo. Having a beta so late will definitely not be enough time to apply fixes to the game. Especially not on the disc, since they're probably going to start printing them in a couple weeks. But anyways, I say it's probably going to be mid-march. Between the 10th - 20th.
hmmm I am 36 years old and I know age doesn't equal maturity but I and everybody I know have played on multiple platforms and know that a beta is not a finished product. I will agree though that if a demo or beta appears to be unbearable that it usually turns most people off from buying it.
There is probably going to be a day one patch, but it's probably not going to have anything to do with the console beta bugs. Same situation happened with medal of honor. Even after getting the patch ready AFTER finding all the bugs in the console beta, which will probably be the end of march, just a few days before release assuming the beta starts halfway through the month, the patch for the fixes still goes through certification, which can last a few weeks.
But, I'm just guessing. It's happened before. I could still be wrong anyways.
