what is the real reason why you wont port to xbox one

i just want to know and understand if any one can help me why wont they port it to xbox one please.

i really did enjoy the game on my xbox 360 i really did but i dont have it any more and got a xbox one and expected you guys to make the jump at some point but you never did why? it seems like a waste not to port it to next gen consoles with a lot more power for you to work with i dont have the 360 any more dont know how the game is doing on console but i fell like if you dont port it then its just gonna die console wise at some point.

but they ported trove so that gave me hope and made me think about defiance and wonder why they haven't ported it i really hope all this business gets sorted out and they port it over idc if they wipe everything i will start over i heard its a money issue with the updates and stuff. maybe they can do a defiance 2.0 and sell it on disc for like 30$ with extra stuff in it to they can not worry about money idk im not a businessman but i really want it to come. this game is so fun i did enjoy all my time with it.

They'd have to pretty much remake the whole game to be compatible with the Xbox one and that costs money and such. And it would involve making a server for Xbox one unless they make it use the same server as the Xbox 360 which would only cause more issues for 360 users. Aka just a whole bunch of work that they don't want to do because they are comfortable with defiance being on 360 ps3 and PC. Oh there's also the whole thing of getting Microsoft and Sony to allow it and make it happen.

Whole recoding process and graphics upgrade requirements are very prohibitive. It'll probably happen someday though... Just have to wait and see.

It would be great to get this game set up for the One, but all they have done is cut back. I don't think they have the resources to do it. Let alone even keep it going on console. Hopefully with the MS windows 10 update there working on for pc games on the one we can play it that way.

There have been old games ported over to Xb1, and they didn't re-do their graphics. Why would this need to do it. Just move the damn thing already. The xbox 360 games play thru an emulator, If cod can do it this game sure as hell can too.

Port to xbox 1 and copy our characters but let us play on the pc servers to reduce the lag ect. My 360 is broke and will not be buying another 1. Please port 2 next gen.

yeah i thought backwards compatibility would be enough but im not sure now. they dont have to upgrade every thing i would be happy with just a port.

Here's the thing...they wont fix the countless issues with this game as it is. For about 3 years now Crater has been 99% chance of critical disconnecting you. People joke about it. I had to laugh at the guys spamming zone that they were giving out free OJ's at Crater just to get all the noobs to crit DC.

Monterey Coast map is nearly just as bad..about 1 out of 5 times it will load for me without a disconnect (PS3).

They are not spending a cent to actually improve this game or fix anything. Plate slicer sniper syn has been broken forever also..

Xbx1 has backwards compatability but ps4 doesn't.
Trion have said they want it playable for both so if one of the consoles can't do it they won't allow it for the other.
