I'm hoping they are going to make some changes to the way things spawn, Having a huge roadblock in the way (And ontop) of the Rings for the Time Trial and having to try and get a good time with them in the way is impossible especially if one just magically appears in front of you as you drive and it wasn't there before.

Here's the thing I think you, and a LOT of other people complaining on this board, are missing: This game is going to rocket forward once the show gets under way. The Dev team has already alerted us to upcoming major patches (8 PAGES of patch notes!), and have alluded to a DLC sometime within the next several months.
    Exactly.
Frankly it's sad to see so many people with the patience and comprehension of a 6-year old kid.

It actually sounds like they took out the fun parts of gaming in the alpha to make an easier game to develop.

If already a vast majority of the game population says the game is too easy what does that say about your fantastic closed alpha testing? Thanks for nothing.
Please, don't go personal, I guess everybody here understood you have high self esteem and you can do better than Alpha team and better than Trion all by yourself. Good for you but that's not going to impress anyone. Words on a forum, you know, are just vapor. Everybody we'll have forgotten our names in an hour or so

And that's about it for me since this conversation is pointless.

I'm 33 have 2 young kids and don't play mmos with the same intensity I used to. I enjoy this game a lot and I can see myself playing it for a long time. 4 buddies of mine bought the game and we are having a blast running around and killing stuff. Two of us hadn't done the episode missions and we did that run last night and it got me quite interested in the show.

I think that the negativity that I see here is pretty close to what I read on the DCUO or SWTOR forums when the games came out. A lot of gamers want the depth level of WoW but they seem to forget that this depth was built over many years. So far I think Trion is doing a great job with this game. I would wait a couple of weeks before actually thinking of quitting.

My only question is about the DLC. I bought a 40$ ms points card with the game with the intent of buying the season pass but I'm not sure if it's worth it in the sense that we will all get the DLC for free. The pros of buying the season pass are not clear to me. If the devs would specify the benefits of spending the MS point card and getting the season pass I would gladly do it.

You start throwing around 'I tested in alpha and talked to the development team' you better be able to handle some criticism in the way the game was shaped. Stay in the magical land where the game is actually worth playing for more than a couple of weeks.

Depth to the equivalent of Vanilla release wow would be a nice start, currently the game is nowhere near even 20% of that content.

Please come back in a couple of weeks and tell us if the game is worth playing, rather than live in your fantasy land of two weeks from now.

I've never been a hardcore MMO'er, so a lot of the ways that Defiance works I actually really like. I prefer setup where I just happen to run into people in the middle of the same mission and tasks get accomplished somewhat organically.

I'm on the PS3, and imho this blows DCUO clean out of the water. The story is better, the premise is handled better, the core mechanics feel tighter, etc. PS3 isn't plagued by server outages, lag (generally) or user queues though.

However, I get the complaints and I'm hoping for patches / new features as well. Some of the missions just seem really tailored to groups, and when you stumble in solo it will occasionally boil down to just winning by attrition via multiple extracts. Or worse, missions like Bullet for a Badman. Some means of getting PUG's going by missions instead of just random people (outside the coop maps) would be great.

So as a console gamer, it's about what I'd hope for out of a console MMO (not like that's been a wide field) - even if it still has lots of room for improvement.

If someone needs to learn 2 read the blogs... it's you my friend.

Sure they might unlock a New episode mission or two each week, but the first real content patch (DLC) won't come until end of may!

So what we got now is what we will have until end of may till the first DLC! One or two New missions a week (30 mins content tops!) isn't going to keep much interest for even the most casual of casual players. /shrug

In other MMO's the fans keep screaming for that miracle patch!

Now we got something New.... instead of the miracle patch we need to wait for a TV show. ROFL!
Yeah I love the people who think the show will save this game, I bet they don't 'unlock' any more of the map like they think. Maybe a mission or two, but nothing like they're expecting.

I am a tad bored with it yes, so now I am doing pursuits I mean there is a lot to do and the contracts will be nice once I get enough contract cash I will be purchasing a few things from the special vendors. But don't despair too much I think we will be getting an episode mission before each episode of the television show. I think that is how they are tying the game and the show together. If you own the game you get a little prequel to each episode. That should be fun a weekly mission that appears just before the next episode on TV. Should make things fun for us.
