I had HIGH hopes for this game and though it didnt reach what I thought it would be, I still see a game that could reach it in a few weeks and i'm willing to deal. Besides everytime there's a server update I end up finding something new I hadnt seen in the game before.
Having tons of fun. Not quitting yet!!
Does anyone know if special dynamic events like in Rift, when the whole world got raided by the forces of evil, are designated in Defiance? Or for example some new, really difficult Arkfalls with new bosses and maybe special loot or even big raids for 20 arkhunter plus? That would be all just awesome! I am really optimistic for new content in this game, because I know what Trion has done with Rift and i loved it.
And no, I am not close to quitting to be honest, I still have a lot of fun with the game besides the bugs.

I personally think the game is great, yeah they had a rocky start but any seasoned MMO Vet knows that no MMO starts off solid. The majority of people complaining about this game is *cringe* the console players.... not only because of the shaky start or failed server latency, but because they dont understand what an MMO is. (all of this is my opinion)

ADVANCED SEARCH is your best friend.
The price of the game so far is at minimum 60 hrs /played roughly .
:Players have completed the main story and maybe the side quests but not if they have a job or education to attend .
Do not forget this game is pay for content
not sub, as long as the value for content stays at this level I will purchase future quality content releases.
this is the best business model for me if I like the future content I buy if not then I don't
It's really not just console players, and the 'veteran mmo players' arent complaining about the shaky start with server restarts and dubious lag at times. They're complaining because theres so little to do in the game, and it's not a sandbox so meaningful content needs to be created, fast.
The game is definately fun but it desperately needs more endgame content.
Since the PvP bugged out aswell there's not much to go on that side of the game.
Mixed feelings, but I do like the gameplay a lot.
