thats about how educated the general populace here is. its nothing more but filled with remenants of idiocracy..i cant get over the fact that so many people complaining have no idea what the heck they are talking about. if you dont like the game, quit playing and leave it alone. all your doing is whining and making no sense. its like these people WANT to see this game fail. if you want your money back get a refund. otherwise shut your trap. seriously

Rush, if people wanted to see the game fail, they would just up and leave, quietly. Those of us that are vocal are not wanting the game to fail, in fact we enjoy many elements of the game. HOWEVER, there isn't enough of the game and we are vocal about it in hopes that the dev's realize a huge mistake and correct it, sooner rather then later.

I did the beta, I knew the play style of the game, not my usual but I liked it non-the-less. The idea of an interesting TV show influencing what happens in the game was very intriguing to me. However, I, and many like minded people, are very disappointed with the lack of content in the game. We are disappointed with the gear in the game. We are disappointed with the overall implementation of what we had hoped would be a great, enjoyable, and entertaining game. As it stands right now, our hopes, expectations, and vision for this game have crumbled, realization set in, and we're left wanting..... I can't honestly justify to my friends why they should buy this game, and yes, I'm regretting having purchased it myself as it stands right now. I can only hold on to the shred of hope left that things will turn around, quickly, or I will be joining the mass exodus.

Look at it like this. You buy this shiny new car, a sports car by all accounts that you've read. You find out that you can get 35 mpg and think that's great. You drive it off the lot, the excitement about your shiny new car fades, and you realize that it has a tiny little 4 cylinder. Would you be happy?

Have you played Rift?

They pushed out more content their first year, for free, than WoW did in it's first 2 expansions.

This is not Rift. I played Rift and sorry, no comparison. I do not know why they released Defiance as it is, but they did. I am not expecting much content any time soon.

I am mostly done with the game for now. Going to clean up some missions and then wait what the patches will bring.

Truth. It must be difficult to work on something for so long and then watch all the mindless haters tear it apart. I feel for Trion, I truly do. I think it's a wonderful game and I intend to support it for as long as they do. I'm hoping it goes for several years and adds piles and piles of content.

Also I would like to see the players expand it from a non mainstream title to a AAA Console game. I can dream, but it's not impossible if we show the game a continuous stream of love.

We can all agree that TRION was amazing With RIFT the first year and pushed out content patches almost every month. Mostly just events... but still a couple hours Worth of fun!

But there are People here who think they gonna get this every single week! Sorry, but is just impossible! Ain't gonna happen and TRION has already admitted that... but still People keep on believing this. /shrug

Yet there is NOTHING like this amount of content in Defiance at launch, this is the issue. People are already bored and they havent even finished the main quest line because it's all so repetitive and dull.

Did you even -see- What Trion added during that previous post? ****ing read it and weep. If Trion manages to keep that schedule with Defiance, then we'll not have anything to worry about at all. Any one of those summaries could have been a headline bulleted list of a WoW expansion.

That is a big if, as Rift's history of patches is legendary. But we simply will not know until Trion either fails or succeeds to deliver in time.

first mistake is wiki, second, its been stated numerous times that the game has been worked on for over 4 years at least so you sir, are living in la la land. only fools use wiki,

No they have not! They officially started working on this game in late 2010. Before that they were fully focussed on RIFT and getting that out of the door in March 2011.

And 2 to 2 and half years of Development feels more in line of the subpar Product we got delivered today. Just like Cryptic With their Champions Online and Star Trek Online games.

If they really had been working on this game for over 4 years, then we would have gotten a much better game today, With an actual working chat system! Ark Fall events that at least resemble the same Dynamic and diversity of Rifts in RIFT, better progression, better loot tables, better itemization, etc.

But sure.... whatever man.
