Hi, I'm not Batman, but here what I know about the "green friends".
Some of my oldest friends are green dots. Clanmates which are friends as well! The Titel colour is ever fitting the category, so clanmates blue and friends teal titel and purple arrow. Only the mini map dot is for some friends green. Regardless of whether I invited them or they me. It occurs only for friends, not for clanmates which are not friends and not for strangers.

I've tried to reproduce this (bug?) in the hope my husband could be a (ever) green dot. But no luck, I can't say why are some friends turn into green dots while all others are purple dots. But I like my "green friends" its like they're "special" and with one view on my mini map I can see who is next to me.

There is a difference between the green dots of group-members and friends. I try to show.
Here you can see a friend, as you can see he has a purple arrow (titel would be teal):



He is a green dot on my mini map:



Now the difference to a group-member dot:

Purple dots and the green friend dot are diamonds(?) while the group-member dot is a square. Also the group-members green seems a bit stronger.

As far as I can see it's a visual bug.

I remember an old clanny talking about her previous one which was called Green Dot Down, wonder if any of them are still around.

This has happened to me a few times, it happens when you add a player to your friends list while you're in a group with them. Somehow it glitches and keeps the shade of green, this has been my experience with it at least.

thank you for your answer and explanation, but can confirm that one old cm was in fact a green dot and can also confirm that my dot shows up green for 2 diff clan members instead of blue.
