Progression in this game is TOOOOOO slow....

How is it that people who obviously cant read, always come up with understandings of the passages that suit their own tiny minds. The guy is not saying his WEAPON SKILL is lvl 3. he is saying.. that he is basically the equivalent of a lvl 3 in a standard game. that is.. out of 5000 ego.. he is only only at 6% of his max. if the game were to be equated to a level 50 game.. he would be LVL 3. Its not that hard to understand. You would rather assume that hes missing some key piece of information, thus making you so cool bc you know that "key piece of information". If after 30 hours of playing WOW at release.. i was still lvl 5.. i doubt WOW would have been as successful.

How about before you jump down someones throat you read also.

He specifically said his skill is 3. If you had actually read he also says he is level 4 based on the 1 to 50 way of looking at levels.

are u kidding? wow could have had 2 skills, 1 zone, 1/2 an instance and took off. it filled a gap at the time. it didnt have to compete with todays gamer nonsense. why do u think its had its raid content nerfed so hard over the years? if wow got any easier ud log on max lvl with the best gear from char creation.

i have a few extra perk slots.. soooo.. yea my cloak lasts 9 seconds longer and i do a bit more mellee dmg when my sheild is recharging......

Perk slots seem like a really big deal... you sure you are getting the right combo of perks?

if u are still lvl 3 wiht your weapon youre doing it wrong. u do know if u weapon maxes out you dont get anymore weapon skill right?

how is it ppl do no research and blame the game for their failings?

90% of the negativity in these forums could have been avoided with RESEARCH. this isnt your typical WoW type, hand held mmo. somethings are different and need to be explored or tested. pay attention to what is going on with your character and weapons.

the #1 thing Trion did wrong, they overestimated the patience of today's gamers. instant gratification has reached new heights, and this forum is evidence of that.

However, I did make one mistake. I was level 4, not 3 in AR... and just played a little bit and dinged level 5 in assault rifle.

Anyway, yea, I know how the game mechanics work....

no one wants to be handed god weapons. I hhave no clue where everyone has gotten this idea and ran with it. ALL WE WANT IS FOR SOMETHING TO LOOK FORWARD TO. Right now.. there is absolutely nothing to look forward to in the game besides waiting for a patch.I dont do arkfalls bc there is no carrot. Lord knows they arent fun after the 5th one. The carrot doesnt have to be a ****ing golden bazooka. But FFS let the reward for grinding this stuff be worth it. I do quests now and for the rewards.. i dont even mouse over the weapon its giving me. i dont buy lockboxes anymore bc there is nothing inside that gets my peepee hard. the is no pushh to progress your toon, and thats what makes the game so bad even though the pve story is quite good.

Wow... this has got to be one of the stupidest things I've read on here.

What made you think EGO 5000 is equiavalent to level 50 in a completely different game? Why not compare it to Guild Wars? Guild Wars has a max level of 20. So on a scale of 1-20, you're actually NOT EVEN level 2!!!!

did i just read this.. PVP sniper? LOL.... yea.. you go get those perks, youre gona need them. Currently i have 24 unused ego points and there is reallly no pressing need to spend them. THATS HOW AWESOME PROGRESSION IS IN THIS GAME.. i dont even want to spend my points cus they are THAT useless

I figure I have about 30 hours /played time (yea, I got outside and stuff). So I’ll give this game my 30 hour review.

I’ll try to be REAL brief.

Pros:
• PVE Combat. Pretty good. I dig the AI in this game. Mobs will keep you on your toes (or back!) all the time.
• Vehicles. ZOOM ZOOM! Can’t say any more than that.
• Story/Quests/Missions. Not the greatest, but the story is pretty good. So it gets a +.
• Weapons. The vast variety of weapons we have in this game is really good.

Cons:
• Ark Falls. I played Rift, so been there – done that. How original! *shrug*
• MMO + Console = /failsauce. I had no idea this was a console game, or I’d not have bought it. Honestly.
• Lacks features you’d expect from an MMO. Player store, vault, mail… I could list a dozen things.
• Chat. God do I need to even say anything on this?
• UI is horrible. I know - it’s a console game. What should you expect?
• Terrain. OK, so we have dune buggies and 4 wheelers. Why is the ground LITTERED with rocks, trees, rubbish, vertical hills, I mean really…. Getting around can be a REAL pain in the keester… and just about any time you fall in the water, you have to swim around a while to find a place that is level enough to crawl out of the water. What is with the steep terrain EVERYWHERE?????

OK, I’ll save the worst – and the title – for last.
• Progression.

It's not that I don't know how to play the game - I've placed 1st on 4 or 5 major ark falls (always in the top 10).

- Weapons
I’ve Killed 100,000 bugs and zombies with my assault rifle. I am still skill level 3 with it (and I think I was given 1 level for pre-ordering!)
At the rate I am playing, it will take 3 years just to max out 1 character. Yea, like that’s going happen.

So for you guys who have 2000-3000 ego already – grats I guess? Now go take a shower.

There is nothing in this game that is going to hold my attention for too much longer.

My last thoughts. I’m just going to play through the quests, and side quests from now on (screw the ark falls… I’ve already done all of major ones 4 times each – at least) – and see how my progression has done from that. If it continues on this slow crawl, or even gets worse. I’ll be done.
