I doubt Trion will have taken this action lightly as I dare say those players may have been spending money in game also.

That said if those players concerned wish to play the game they can start on a new account.
I doubt that their xbx accounts were banned which could of happened if Trion had informed Microsoft.

That's something I could never do, well the part about giving the gear away that is, I spent too much time grinding and hard playing to get what I have except for some things I was gifted.

If for some reason I was to leave I'd just start playing another game and gradually drift away from here I suppose.

Cheaters got banned because they were destroying the game by duplicating and destroying the rarity of scrip, items, forge, chips, etc -- the biggest cheaters included some "daredevil"/rubbish clans on xbox na that are now empty.

The pipe dream that there's game value for this behavior or that it's an anti-hero archetype worthy of praise is ridiculous at best and pathologically manipulative and idiotic at worst.

BTW, even banned players can just create a new account and earn their items like everyone else. If they're unable to get an appeal, these players can always just create a new account and forgo their ill gotten gains. Nothing prevents them from playing from scratch and grinding for their scrip, forge, items like everyone else.

You're a good guy Cygnus...but I have to agree with the quoted poster ^.
I have no sympathy for cheaters, and I can't fathom how one could view them in a positive light.

Yes there was plenty of complaints about the inflated economy, only those who were involved in the exploits could really afford any of the high end gear unless you were one of the lucky one's who pulled them against trions weighted rng.

I am opposed to cheating as im sure most are. We may also disagree with what constitutes cheating too. Painting these players with a broad brush and labeling them cheaters without giving them a chance to give their side or appeal is wrong in my opinion. I wasnt there, I didnt see it, and I dont walk in their shoes. So I cant speak for them.

My point is the codes have been removed the scrip n chips are gone. Why cant we forgive them their transgressions and restore the population. Is everyone so bitter that they cant see the benefit of a full n thriving defiance. If you love this game and have hope it will move to next gen consoles or turn into a franchise you must realize that if the population dies so does defiance. We need cool new stuff that works, which isnt very likely, but at the very least they could bring back players that can tolerate and love this broken game.

Im all for banning players that scam other players but trion says scammings legal in defiance. Arent scammers cheaters? We rub elbos with them everyday in defiance. Why are we so harsh and quick to condem those whos crime may have merely been being clever?
