Some people buy it just for the karma. Me i like the karma but i buy it for arkforge-karma-and the fact i like Defiance and want to be challenged. Not just turn up for karma for jp to stand around till i can turn up for my next karma roll
Getting jp for sake of getting jp
First, as with every other event, the majors will end more quickly in the first few days. As the event wears on, fewer people will continue to play which means the final will take longer to complete and your scores will go up.
Secondly, I have made it a point to focus on killing the Matron as soon as the final begins. When the matron is the only enemy left there are too many people who are spamming vehicles on top of it because they lack sense or just enjoy griefing. The spam is contributing enormous amounts of lag and obstructs shooting the Matron. So while the griefers are busy with the mobs, I am killing the boss so I don't have to stand around for 10 minutes getting no points hoping that I don't disconnect.
The obvious solution to the problem is for Trion to make it so that you can't spawn vehicles in the circle but we all know that isn't going to happen. They have long since given up trying to fix anything in the game and are instead just creating new events and weapons because it requires very little coding and a few new records in a database.
Agree the solution lies with Trion. You cannot really fault peeps wanting what ever they pay for. Silicon vall major lasts 5-7mins and that's about right i think. I havent been d/c as of yet but in the 5 hours i have been online only 3 majors have appeared.
the last event NW never really got any smaller- i found the last week and a half were the worst for lag and d/c's
Cc has always been an eye burning event. By the third week youll be ready for it to be over. Its one of the more boring majors in my opinion. Nothings visible for long, everything insta dies. the challenge is landing your shots on the matron and not on all the challengers and trucks. Lol
