    where to aim for weak spots

    Sometimes when shooting the big guys with mini guns in the head it makes a diffrent noise is that saying its the weak spot?

    and with arkfalls do i shoot the aliens running around on the orange spots only?

    Go into the setting and turn on damage numbers (why is this off by default?). You'll know you're hitting the right spot when your not hitting the enemy for 1/10 of your normal damage

    Shoot for the weak spots your ego gives clues sometimes especially on the big bad boys yes the noise is the tell tale.

    Later on there are tankers who you need to shoot their back packs and when the drop to rest they open their visor and reveal their face which is a real weak spot.

    When you are hitting the weak spots normally a yellowy orange colour on the bugs you will here a different sound to let you know your hitting the weak spot.

    Shooting the weak spots will give you much better damage output and get you up in the damage tables for arc falls.
    Normally on the big ground bugs mouth and butt and chest on matriarchs and other locations but all will have this tell tale colour and sound change when hitting.

    Often these areas will only show when the target is making a certain movement or attack.

    Best not to shoot the skitterlings on normal arc falls as they are the ones chewing on the arkfall itself opening up the pustuals/weak points which allow for it to be destroyed easier.

    But the skitterlings are fair game on the minor blue ark falls I believe these will normally be a beat 3 waves of enemy types.

    I am no expert and others may be able to help much more but I hope this helps in some capacity.

    For Mutants And Raiders The Head is the Critical Spot(Cept For The Raiders with Gas tanks on their back) /For Hellbugs The Yellow Spots are Critical s(Such As The Mouth/Tail/Underbelly)/Havnt Reached the scrappers yet so someone else can fill you in on those

    If the scrappers are the mechanical mobs (sorry, just recently started seeing them) then they have a glowing red orb. Usually it's on the head or near the eyes.

    A different sound is 1 indication of doing critical hits. Like twinArmageddons post, turn on damage numbers.
    Yellow color is critical
    blue is shield
    white is normal.

    Depending on the enemies you are attacking will depend on the critical spot. Most humanoids it's the Head. Some special humanoids it's a backpack. Bugs critical spot is (mostly) the back most part of their abdomen (their butt). Arkfall minibosses (bug) need to be shot at their stomach (when the matriarch does the roll the 'butt' will open up which will allow critical hits). Arkfall Boss (flying moth type) should be shot at the inside of the tail.

    Most of the insect critical spots are yellowish-red in color.

    you should shoot the tanks first, when the tanker crouches and opens his visor shoot him in the face as that even more damage. Scrappers have to be weakened before they show a yellow piston which you shoot them. Helibots are vulnerable when they deploy to turret mode. The turret on its body goes red, shoot that. Forges have to be shot in the yellow spots/lights

    Most of the hotspots are clearly shown in the Enemies videos (at the end) in the Intel. The only one that is missing is the Bulwark. Its weak spot is its missile ports.
