An Example of Gun Crafting. From Epic to Supreme
Chaos is a Ladder.
I have yet to pay more than 10m for any 1 weapon or shield I have. I have offered as much as 14m for 1 gun. That said, I don't have a lot of the "in demand" weapons.
My rng sucks, so the few "in demand" weapons I have are untradeable. Because of this, I have not had more than 35m scrip on me at any time. Lately, I'm hovering around the 30m mark. I can't afford the high scrip weapons, so I go without and use what I have.
Hate mentioned mods selling for 50k. I remember, when I used to sell a lot of mods, them selling for 11-15k. Assassin, Stalker, and Grenadier sold for a bit more, as they were considered the "best" syns for the Ar smg/lmg weapons. This was before Nadegate and T4 mods.
The introduction of jp weapons and the ability to upgrade to T6 in combination with the mass influx of ragamuffins that F2P brought in is what started the inflation trend. The exchange was introduced to help with the inflated prices but, the duping issue made it worse a thousand fold.
Bottom line is, pay what you're willing or able to pay for a weapon. If you can't purchase it, go without...
I bought my first JP sniper for 500k now you can't buy a mod for that amount. Saw a guy in zone selling moss for 5 mill and mad that someone called him out on it because he had been selling them for 10 mill. I used to give away all my unwanted stuff, OJs, JPs, all the mods didn't matter. Now everything goes to the vendor, sometimes I'll ask clan.

The first JP I bought went for 225K.....a Piper, fully t4 modded with damage mastery (and it took nearly every script I had). Believe it. Eventually I traded it, but before I did I was offered (as I recall) 100 m for it. I wonder what it would sell for now (as if anyone would sell anything worthwhile for script anymore).
