Tier 4 lockboxes... Broken? Sledgehammer, chime in!

I've had around 30 tier 3 and no orange and 1 purple. I bought 4 tier4 and had 4 purple and an orange.

I've literally bought around 20 tier 4 and gotten NO orange and NO purple. All I get is blue or green. Luck of the draw I suppose, but I am done with Tier 4, too much damn work for no reward. Out of all those boxes, I've only gotten 1 weapon that was worth keeping. The others are either worthless or not as good as what I already have.

I have bought two tier 4 boxes and got 2 oranges. They are worth it to me, I have never even recieved a purp from lvl 3. Tier 4 is the way to go.

I talked to a GM yesterday and was told that they are all random. Tier 4 has a lot higher chance of getting something good. I have gotten three greens and one blue out of the last tier 4. It's all random, sorry.

Here is a thought firrst i hope sledge does not reply to this post. Then everyone will be going sledge reply bla bla. I wonder if it matters at all what place you buy the tier 4 boxes from that helps increast the better items? Anyone has any experience with this aspect of the randomness?

got all 6 of my oranges from T4... It's just luck! If they made it easier to get the legendary they wouldn't be that special.. I do think though T4's have a higher chance at getting purples/legendarys

I've bought about 4 T4 lockboxes and every single one of them was blues & greens
I've bought about 6 T3 lockboxes and every single one of them had at least 1 purple.

I don't get it.
