Honestly, I'm going to wait until what the first DLC has to offer before I blindly throw another $40 towards the game. It's already known that we get a lot of the content for free (they specifically mentioned that players will NOT be separated from their friends) so new 'areas' or 'maps' will be free.

So what exactly are we going to be paying for? New races? We already have characters made so why would we start over? New weapon types? Well that's cool I guess although I think content like this should be made readily available to anyone. Basically what I'm saying is that we don't know if it's worth the price of admission just yet. They'll have to give us quite a bit for a $40 price tag.

Yeah, even thought it's just newly been released I'm really enjoying it, it's something so different and also there's far more to come in the future so I'm also really looking forward to that also. Hopefully it only gets better.

No.

There will be a client side patch with "8 pages" of content on or before the 15th, then another client side patch 2 weeks after that and then another 2 weeks or so will be the first DLC.

I think a season pass for this game would be worth it more than most games since it is an MMO. I am waiting though to make sure all the hiccups for the game are gone before I do though.

Anyone know if the Microsoft pass or the Gamestop pass is cheaper? (for Xbox)

From the Login screen it looks like the Episode mission's in game right now will go away on the 15th and we will get new episode missions, hopefully every week a new show is aired.

I did get the season pass after I played Defiance the first day.

Well, until the game is not a 'now we are really ready to launch' release and Trion will realize this is not F2P game (bits price) I won't buy anything more
