VFX applied to players

Does anyone know what the weapon / shield / synergy / perk is that makes some white floaty things swirl around a player?

It may sound like an odd question , but this is something I noticed only a few times – a player in front of me was shooting and then this thing procced and they had these swirling white lights going round them (not the purple syphon stuff and not the EGO upgrade thing). I thought it looked cool and just wondered how to reproduce it.
It happened so fast I didn’t have time to screenshot it. Next time I see it I will try to inspect the player.

Another sort of related question: on videos I have seen some white armour shoulder plates or wings appear with protection spiked (I think). Was the VFX changed for these? I don’t think I’ve ever seen them in game.

Thirdly – this is an idea for future JPs – how about JP shields having a different colour? Like when an enemy hits them? Or maybe have a synergy bonus which makes the shield glow (a bit like the EGO boost from the Dark Matter pods, but not so pronounced). I think it would be cool to ‘show off’ a JP shield in that way – I’m not suggesting anything OTT that would annoy people, just something subtle but cool .
For some reason, I originally thought the Feedback perk would have some cool VFX to show blasts bouncing back to the enemies (I was probably thinking of blasts bouncing off lightsabers here).

I believe it's the Shock Trooper reload perk for an explosive kill. Either that or Mad Bomber reload. I get it on my explosive loadout all the time, but usually too busy to check what exactly made the pretties lol

Thanks for the info Ryim . I'll check those perks out... I have Mad Bomber on one loadout and never noticed it there. And a friend uses Shock Trooper, but I have never seen the pretties on them...

Don't think it's connected with the graphics level in the settings, but I'll test that too...

Just tested - it is Shock Trooper - the swirly white things only appear occasionally and are more noticeable if I run backwards lol.

doubt many use Shock Trooper. but lots of people have Ravenous Consumption weapons and this VFX appears when your cooldowns get reset.

CC rig will do it also. refreshing cooldowns.
