First off the next xbox is not actually called the 720 it was a name a random games website decided to label it when they published false specs etc secondly the ps4 is already outdated and by the time the next xbox announced it will also be outdated however it will be better than the ps4.

i have played both the ps3 and xbox 360 they both have there flaws but i plan on playing 360 till xbox live is canceled, but what we don't is if there gonna make buy all are DLC again and make new live/psn accounts, or if we will have to get new games cause 360/ps3 games may not work on the system. and what about our saved game EX:Mass effect 1,2 ,and 3. everyone so excited there not thinking about these things.

For me, it's what I'll be getting first.
And, that really depends on the launch titles.

These last few gens I've always ended up picking up all the consoles, so meh.

    xbox

Was entirely a PC gamer up until a couple years ago and made a conversion to Xbox. I agree with the poster above, the only PS exclusive release that would entice me to buy would be God of War :/

Personally, I've never seen a real benefit to owning one console over another. You can Google xbl problems, but they are FAR overshadowed by psn's. But psn is free and xbl is not, so it's give and take. You can argue one is more powerful than the other, but neither has beat the other's cap on your TV, most likely. Just because one claims it can do one thing doesn't mean your TV can show it.

Either way I think it comes down to personal preference in games and controls, as both next gen systems will likely have access to everything else equally. My personal preference will likely be the new xbox, and I've yet to see any solid information on it, including it's name. If you have solid information please link it, or claim it's speculation.

Americans are very fanboy to the XBOX, but pay homage to PlayStation because Xbox wouldn't exists if it wasn't for the station pioneering the way for CD counsel. XBOX has alot of FPS, Sports, and Fighters. Sony is heavy on strategy, action/adventure, puzzle, and RPG fyi (Thinking games helps boost cognitive skills and comprehension). Have yall seen the previews of PS4 next gen games beast. Also Xbox is copying Sony by finally getting a Blue-ray so its monkey see monkey do on both companies. Nintendo is the only one who does anything different. Also Xbox is in trouble because the age of third party games is over. PS4 will be going back to exclusive titles so no more i can get it on Xbox s**t. Sony going back to being the title hog it once was. That means their buying out companies to help develop games for their software only. Beside the controller demo the Sony has released some of its hardware specs for the PS4. Also if people didn't know the next gen gaming system will not being focused on playing games on the old system because the hardware is different, both Sony and Microsoft want to put game stop out of business. Reason why is because from my understanding games are going to require a Pass key to play the game hmmm, kinda sounds like how PC does their games. Sure friend you can barrow my copy of this game, gets home downloads clicks on launch icon, game responds type in 12 digit pass key, friend types in 12 digit pass key from original owner, game responds that that code has already been use please type in your 12 digit pass (sub-text if you don't have a pass key visit our website to buy one) get to website passkey cost 9.99-19.99 basically a third of the game. So in short all next gen will be following the PC model of buying and lending games so no more borrowing games for free because both companies want they money. FYI Im on SONY side, but its not one is better the other it just comes down to your gaming preference. I my self like to think on a more complex level not into FPSes and Sports like that. Big MMORPG or RPS kind of guy.

You got a point about the games but for us poorer gamers are screwed along with friends and family who work at gamestop

    American, own both a 360 & PS3, and will own a PS4 and Xbox720.

All I want to know is - will DEFIANCE be re-released on next gen consoles with a nice graphical and framerate upgrade?

I know I'll be jumping ship to the next gen as soon as they release (they are way overdue, imo.)

It would probably be a good idea to release on next-gen consoles as well, as I imagine many people will sell/trade-in their current gen consoles for the next-gen consoles.

Although it would be a bummer to have to buy DEFIANCE twice, esp with $40-50 worth of DLC planned too.
Maybe some kind of trade-in program to get a discount on the newer version?

Personally I will probably be going with the next Xbox solely for the reason that I absolutely hate the Playstation controller. I have fairly large hands and the Xbox controller just fits them better and is a heck of a lot more comfortable. Sony does have the better online model as far as being free with a paid option.

I currently have both a 360 and a PS3 but the most action the PS3 has received in the last year is as a blueray player. Plus the new playstation will probably be nicknamed the P$4.
