Probably will get both although I'm mainly an xbox user so the xbox is my first choice and my ps3 is a paper weight and is only used for blu ray.

Xbox, mainly due to preserving my gamers score (if they don't carry it over in some fashion, it's fair game between the two). Hopefully the Xbox will have some kind of backwards compatibility too.

something tells me that it wont due to the fact they're changing architecture back to x86 processor vs PowerPC which the 360 uses, if it could support any backwards compatibility natively it'd be the original Xbox which used an x86 processor (A PIII to be exact.).
but I'm hoping I'm wrong.

PS4 (about the time it's completely obsolete; unless I can come up with some major cash somehow). To me the player base of both consoles is so segregated and it really just comes down to what kind of games you like. I love RPGs more than any type of game and for me I have just never found any really compelling RPGs on the Xbox. Most come out for Sony or are PC only. From my personal experience Xbox players tend to be more aggressive and less "philosophical" with their games. Sony has the more in-depth and mentally "mature" games imo. Plus I just can't stand the Xbox controller. I find it clunky and uncomfortable.
But as I like to say, "Let's not hate on one another; to each his own."
