Deals and Sales, better turn for players.

I want to be very honest from a standpoint as a life long gamer, and someone with knowledge behind the scenes of a "market" or retail point. The numbers do not lie when i say that we need more sales, discounts, and deals. When i say that the numbers do not lie, statistically speaking you will make far more money by discounting things and having sales than just keeping things full price all the time, i know we have our discount for patron and event boxes prior to being taken out, and every now and again we have had other deals. However it just isnt enough, many players have had complaints over the amount of money they spend with little result, it does not make people want to spend more, and keeps people around for less time, just from my observation alone of 360 na servers ive noted a dramatic drop in players, while numerically you may see many players entering the game which i do see, the problem lies with returning players, meaning most of the players your data shows you coming into the game do not stay for very long, most of which never reach the max ego, the bit store is one of the key focal points behind this.

I wont be shocking anyone when i say alot of people who do play consistently spend a good bit of money on this game, myself included. having played other games of similar style im noting player base vs defiance given the same stretch of time. warframe as one such example is still thriving over practically the same time period vs defiances dying community, this isnt just conjecture but an observation over my years in the game.

A solution is to have more sales and deals on things in the bit store, make things more obtainable, have a $100 bit purchase with a large bonus to bits for the high rollers, have daily discounts on boosts and weekly discounts on random things like inventory, consumables, arkforge and the works, rotate things out. Because believe me people are more likely to spend more on a game that gives players the edge.

If you want to get an idea of how market works this ought to tell you, if you had a handbag marked for $50 dollars most would go i dont need that its too expensive, but if that same handbag were marked 50% off of $100 dollars for a limited time $50 dollars most will go i have to have that its such a good deal, and original value often times doesnt matter then.

So heres the down low, it doesnt really cost you anything in time for this and it only invites positivity towards the player base by doing this and increases your profit margin in the long run, sounds good right? little effort needed, profit to be made, as well as happy returning customers. which is really what i want to see out of this game, im tired of this back to back grab it while its here short running, i want to see some more long term implementations.

The reason for the dwindling community in my opinion, is the long-standing stability issues and lack of additional environments/instances

i agree with this as well, we have many un open map areas 4 years later still not used for anything, and when alcatraz was released it was rushed since the rest of the map was intended to be open as well, theres alot of textures and things existing beyond the borders of the main area of alcatraz that can be seen from the higher parts of the map, its clear it was a rushed and unfinished project, karma is needed in expos as well as more expo varients, drops, and power to superiority syn, not only should the synergy be buffed but have a 3rd perk added since jp sup shields exist and with a decent variety in sup guns with potential for more i could see that opening the field for superiority syn.

in my opinion despite the stability problems it caused by the exchange it was tolerable by comparison as to what it brought to the table, a way for people to trade without the hassle of sitting and typing in zone all day, it was active in the background and let people browse, buy, and sell at their leisure, and i know the first topic to mind will be dupers but i think most of the problems were handled and frankly one of the biggest problems at least on xbox was the modder/hacker idlehands whom is gone as far as known, these things taken into account i dont see why its impossible to bring back the exchange, after all the work they did to bring it to us i highly doubt its just sitting in a trash folder somewhere.

Yes all fine and dandy but some gaming companies just put out the game and tend to let it go at that and then it becomes just another Like It Or Leave It Type of Game.

The thing is i love defiance, not just for the money i have invested but i invested because i love it, i want to see it keep going but not on the tracks its on, im fighting to try and get the community together because we are the voice to trion, us here on the forums. divided our voices mean nothing but standing towards a common goal we have a chance.

if you truly are a longtime gamer you know when to let it go.

if your not happy then its time to start playing somthing else,
or just add a second game to your day when you need some defiance down time.

been down that road too many times with other games that patch it to death or just stop improving endgame.
