Is it even possible to communicate in the game?

First off, I'm enjoying the game kinda - but soloing is getting old fast and dying is getting expensive.

I know it's only been a week since release, but seriously - how are you all communicating with each other in game?

Chat doesn't seem to work - or I can't figure out how to use it since no one seems to respond to me when I chat in group chat.

Voice chat is well non existent - or the quality is absurd.

Does anyone have a damn user manual I can borrow? I mean really, how do you release a game without a freakin manual?

These dev guys seriously need to WAKE THE HECK up. If the team doesn't have enough people to get this game up to speed, hire more devs or borrow from another game.

Tried whispering someone on my friend's list for almost an hour on the 2nd day, almost came to flipping tables, and still couldnt do it. The only place i even SEE chat is if someone in the close area says something. The social system has got to be the worst of any mmo I have ever played. I really hope they fix this because I am enjoying most of the game, but if I wanted single player game I wouldn't have paid for an MMO.

Chat is admittedly problematic at the moment, and Trion's admitted it is on their worklist. Due to some problems with the voice chat, it appears a lot of people have it turned off, which apparently also turns off the written chat as well, plus the written chat only shows up on your screen like one line at a time, and only stays there for a few seconds before disappearing, so it's hardly surprising people don't respond in chat. Chance are they either have it turned off, or didn't see the line during that brief window of opportunity.

It sucks for right now, but it's on their List Of Things They Are Working On.
