    Salvage costs whats your opinion?

i find salvage costs a little extreme to some degree but then again i guess if you do Arkfalls and time trials and some of the other missions as well as destroying items for salvage the salvage could pile up but then i see it's like 9 k to keep my mods from one weapon while losing mods in the process where as its only about 200 to toss the mods and keep the weapon.. do you feel they need to even out some of the salvage costs?

not complaining abotu lockbox salvage key costs though i agree with that pricing

The higher end costs scale a bit too high, I think. They should balance that out.

I agree, the salvage costs scale too high as your Ego level rises. It wouldn't be so bad if the amount we get for breaking down the items also scaled with our level, but it's unfortunately permanently set at 250/500/750/1000/1250.

I'm tempted to get a friend to make a lower level character and see if they can add the mod slots for me. To add a 3rd mod slot to my weapon at EGO 550 costs me right at 10,000 arksources. That's 1/4th of my total, and I do every time trial, rampage, arkfall I come across and I haven't been spending my ark resources much either. Plus I breakdown about half of my looted weapons. The other half I sell for scrip.

I thought it simply scaled with rarity of the weapon and the number of existing mod slots? Pretty sure I see the same prices at ego 1k as I did at 200 or so.

Yeah, you're right. Trying to add a 3rd mod slot to my EGO level 182 Rocket launcher is only 4,640. About half of what my EL 500 weapons require for a 3rd slot.

That makes it a bit worse honestly, especially since the higher EGO level weapons aren't really any better from my experiences.

Scaling costs but no scaling rewards is ****ing stupid and is terrible design.

It costs tens of thousands to add slots and such at Ego 1500+. It was 20k just to remove 4 mods out of a weapon and destroy the weapon. There's nothing in the game that rewards anywhere close to that.

Yea I am not worried since I only add slots to orange weapons but since you cannot get the synergy to go with those I have almost 250k salvage.

Really, I don't have much reason to care about the mod system at all. None of the PvE content is difficult enough to where I'd care about the extra edge.

The cost of doing things with ark salvage scales up too quickly and doesn't seem to plateau at all. . We're not suddenly getting tons more loot at higher ego ratings, and the breakdown numbers are constant. Add in that weapons and weapon sub-types don't scale at all whatsoever outside of synergies and mods, and eventually you'll reach a point where instead of breaking down gear you're just vendoring it because it's too expensive to trick out that new weapon you just got.
